陕西省中小学课堂教学改革案例 外研社高一必修四第二模块 Traffic Jam Introduction、 Reading and Vocabulary 陕西省商南县高级中学李 玉 锋 摘 要: 在新的教育形式下,要想提高课堂效率,减轻学生过重的课业负担,大面积提升教育教学质量,必须实施高效课堂。高效课堂体现在教师方面要创设情境,高效新课导入、分配学习任务、高效点拨重点难点和归纳知识提升学生能力;高效课堂还体现在让学生通过独学、对学、群学;独自思考、合作探究、提出质疑,讨论总结学习规律和方法。最大限度地调动每位学生主动参与的积极性,体现“我的课堂我做主”的理念。关 键 词: 任务型教学 合作学习 高效课堂教学背景:交通拥挤是现代社会发展的必然产物,学生有必要学会用英语的方式去思维现代交通方式及他们的优缺点,讨论交通拥挤产生的原因及可能的解决办法。 本节课运用任务型教学法、合作学习法组织教学,在任务的履行过程中,以个人参与体验、两人互动讨论、小组交流合作的学习方式,充分发挥学习者自身的认知能力,调动他们积极性,使学生在实践中感知、认识、应用语言,在“干”中学,“用”中学。 因此,我在Lead-in/Introduction这一教学环节中,运用多媒体给出图片(头脑风暴)让学生复习已学交通工具词汇,利用图片,使学生们在简单的回答中学习Introduction和Reading and Vocabulary中的新词汇,激发学生探求新知识的欲望,并为阅读奠定坚实基础。在Reading and Vocabulary这一环节中,提出不同形式的问题(任务),让学生通过听读(skimming)、寻读(scanning)和细读(careful-reading)等阅读方法,用独学(individual)、对学(pair -work)和群学(group- work)等学习方式,寻求问题的答案。在巩固和总结(Consolidation/ Summary)这一环节,以短文填空方式使学生复述文章,以此对文章整体内容和重点词汇进行巩固小结。最后的讨论(Discussion)环节,通过简单讨论,使学生们了解目前交通拥挤状况、产生的原因及可能的解决办法,从而唤起学生们的环境意识、公民道德和安全意识。实施策略:本节课的教学以学生为中心,以问题为出发点,使课堂教学过程成为学生进行信息加工、归纳能力发展的过程。教师在教学过程中则适时介入,引导、启发、组织、帮助。操作流程:第一步:复习已学单词导入新学生词第二步:学生听读找出北京的交通方式;学生寻读回答问题; 学生细读填表格;学生完成单词和意思的连线题第三步:老师解释学生提出疑难词汇第四步:通过短文填空总结本节内容巩固新学词汇第五步:学生讨论交通图片第六步:布置作业学情分析: 班上的学生大多来自农村,英语词汇量较少,在听和说方面有较大困难,中文思维现象较多。但学生学习英语的热情较高,兴趣较浓。在课堂教学中,用各种方式激发学生参与课堂活动的热情,引导他们积极思考,大胆讨论,合作学习,共同提高。教材分析: 本节课是第一课时Introduction、Reading and Vocabulary,其中 Introduction 部分主要作用是复习并且新学交通方面的词汇,另一个作用是激活学生已有信息,为学生进行阅读做好必要的准备。Reading and Vocabulary 这一部分主要是通过阅读了解北京的交通方式及各种交通方式的优缺点。通过任务型教学法让学生学会在阅读中通过上下文识别单词,推测生词、短语的意思;通过不同的阅读策略使学生读懂课文并获取关键词、搜寻要点并回答问题。Introduction 和 Reading and Vocabulary浑然一体,所以将两部分放在一起教授。过 程:一、教学目标分析 1. 语言知识目标 单词:trolleybus/tram,minibus,underground/subway,pedicab,air-conditioned bus,double-decker bus ,display,permit ,provide ,limit explore 短语:in no time,under construction,be worth doing , Its convenient for sb to do 2. 语言技能目标 听懂课文并能捕捉有关各种车辆的信息; 识别语段中新学词汇、短语并正确理解其意义; 读懂文章并根据要求完成相关练习。 3. 情感价值目标 通过学习,使学生们了解北京交通状况,增强学生们的环境意识、公民道德和安全意识。二、教学重、难点分析教学重点: 1.帮助学生掌握新词汇并鼓励学生谈论各种交通工具。 2.帮助学生掌握各种阅读策略,提高学生阅读能力。 教学难点: 提高阅读能力,学会用英语谈论北京交通工具的优缺点。三、教学方法 任务型教学法(Task-based reading ),合作学习法(Cooperative learning),讨论法(Discussion)四、教学手段: 多媒体辅助教学(Multi-media)五、教学过程Step 1: Lead in(导入) 创设情境 :How do you come to school every day?(bike,bus.).Do you know other ways of transport?(helicopter ,motorbike,taxi/cab,truck train),然后介绍新的交通词汇(coach,trolleybus/tram,minibus,underground/subway,pedicab,air-conditioned bus, double-decker bus)设计说明 此步骤用多媒体给出图片(头脑风暴复习词汇)并创设情境,使学生们在简单有趣的回答中熟悉Introduction和Reading and Vocabulary中的新词汇.为学生营造轻松愉快的学习氛围。Step 2: Reading (指导学生运用不同方法阅读文章,提高学生的阅读能力) 1.Listening:/skimming(Individual)(听读和略读) Listen to the tape for the text and decide how many means of transport are mentioned in the text and try to guess the meaning of some difficult words from the context, meanwhile underline the difficult words and phrases.Taxis,buses/trolleybus,minibuses,underground/subway,pedicabs,设计说明 此步骤运用听力材料让同学们快速阅读短文,抓住重点信息回答问题。根据上下文猜测生词意思,并划出自己不懂的生词和短语。 2 .Fast reading/scanning (快速寻读)Students work in pairs,read the passage quickly for general ideas and answer the questionsRead the first two passages and answer the questions .How easy is it to find a taxi in Beijing ? .What colour are most taxis ? .Whats the problem with buses ? .Which is the best bus for tourist ? Read the last two passages and answer the questions .How many people can get in a minibus ? .What are the advantage of the underground ? .When does it close at night ? .When can you visit in a pedicab ? Answer:Raise your hand and a taxi appears in no time. They are red. They are often very crowded. The 103 bus. 12 people. Its fast and convenient. It closes at 11:00 pm. The narrow alleys of old Beijing. 设计说明 此步骤运用任务教学法。让学生快速阅读短文并两人一组回答相关问题,对文章大意有全面理解。 3 . Careful reading (细读) Students work in pairs,read the passage carefully and fill in the form to get more details设计说明 此步骤运用任务教学法。让学生仔细阅读短文并填表,使学生对文章细节有更深理解。Step3: Vocabulary (词汇和词义配对) Match the words in the box with their meanings.First do it individually,then check with partners.1.to go from one place to another get around2. a person who uses public transport passenger 3. It is worthwhile to consider/considering his suggestion. 设计说明 此步骤突破难点, 重点讲解生词,并配以形式各样(选择、填空、翻译句子)的习题,达到精讲多练的目的,习题主要是学生易错题。Step 5: Consolidation/ Summary:(巩固和总结)Fill in the blanks according to the text as a consolidation.The whole class work together.There are many means of transport when you get around in Beijing,such as taxis,buses and trolleybuses, minibuses,underground and pedicabs. Taxis is easy to get .Simply raise your hand,and a taxi appears in no time.They display the price on the window. You must make sure it has a business permit,and ask for a receipt. Buses and trolleybuses provide cheap services, their fares are cheap. but they can be crowded, so you must avoid them during the rush hour.Buses numbered1 to 100 are limited within the city centre , Higher numbers have destinations in the suburbs. Make sure you sit upstairs on a double-decker buses, where you will have a good view of the city.Minibuses follow the same routes as large public buses. There are four underground lines in Beijing and several lines are under construction.They are fast and convenient ,but can be terrible in rush hours. Station names are marked in pinyin. Pedicabs or tricycles are worth using to explore the narrow alleys of old
