Choose a drill from “Teaching Techniques”IntroduceDemonstrate “cloud” and “sky” with your poster, or by pointing out the window of your classroom.Draw quick pictures of clouds on the blackboard.Make the clouds look like something. Say phrases such as:Use a puppet to introduce the word “lie” For example, draw quick pictures of a bed and some grass on the blackboard. Make the puppet “lie” on these as you say phrases for it such as:I am tired. I want to sleep.Where can I sleep?Heres a bed. I am going to lie on the bed.Now I am lying on the bed.I dont want to sleep here!Heres some grass.Now I am lying on the grass.Now I can see the sky!PracticeDivide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make up a dialogue about lying on the grass and looking at clouds in the sky.
