摘要 新闻是传递各种信息的重要工具，深入研究英语新闻的翻译十分必要。 本文认为奈达的功能对等理论是最适宜指导英语新闻翻译的理论。文章首先 对奈达的功能对等理论作了整体研究。接着，文章综述新闻翻译的相关研究成果， 提到其局限性，并指出进一步研究新闻翻译的必要性。然后，本文简单介绍新闻 基础知识和英语新闻的主要语言特点。最后，作者在论证了功能对等论应用于英
