约翰沃勒的小说劢pb r i d g e so fm a d i s o nc o u n t y 于 1 9 9 2 年面世后，引起强烈的反响。小说的语言极富个性特点，此书中的修 辞美学尤为文学界所推崇。经翻译，此书在我国引起“廊桥热”。本文从文 体学的角度分析小说的翻译本。 文体学和文学紧密相关，一直被用来分析和评价文学作品。但很少有 人从文体学的角度分析和评价文学作品的翻译。文体学是翻译工作者的必 修课，翻译工作者具有文体学知识将有助于发现原文的特色，从而忠实地 翻译原文。北京大学申丹教授在这一领域取得了很大的成就，她从文体学 的角度用一种新的科学性的评价方法研究小说的翻译。本文从理论和实践 相结合的角度探讨和论证文体学在文学翻译中的重要性以及如何在文学翻 译，特别是小说翻译中，应用文体学的研究成果。 文体学理论认为，作者在艺术创作过程中所采用的任何符号，一个词， 一个句法，一种修辞手段或是某个叙事角度，都是作者独具匠心的选择， 都是为了实现某种功能或是突出主题，或是增强美学效果。因此，译 者一定要对每个对象的功能有清晰的认识，这样才能忠实地翻译出原文的 韵味，使译作读者获得与原作读者相近的感受。这篇论文选取美国作家罗伯 特- 沃勒的小说t h eb r i d g e so f m a d i s o nc o u n t y 作为个案分析，从西方文体学 的角度不但研究原作，同时也分析译作，对原作的部分语音过分规则现象、 措辞和句法过分规则现象方面进行分析，结合中国的传统美学从意境和氛 围方面评价和欣赏梅嘉翻译的砌eb r i d g e so f m a d i s o nc o u n t y ，并试图提醒 译者注意培养用文体学的理论结合中国传统美学分析文学作品的意识。 本文第一章通过总结出翻译批评理论中的不足，提出从文体学角度来 研究文学翻译的观点。并通过“抗译性”这一概念，说明风格的可翻译性。 第二章理论部分，先对“文体”进行阐释，引入文体学中“突出”这一概念； 然后提出将文体学应用于小说翻译，为此按语音变异、词汇、句法、修辞、 ， 山东大学硕士学位论文 联贯与语境列出译者翻译时必须考虑的问题。如果疏忽了这些问题，译者 就容易过多地进行主观干预，译文就出现一些严重却不易分辨的错误。 第三章实践部分，分别从对原作的部分语音过分规则现象( 包括头韵、 和声元音叠韵和重音) 措辞和句法过分规则现象( 包括重复和排比) 方面 进行分析，结合中国的传统美学从意境和氛围方面，对典型例子加以分析 或比较，评价和欣赏梅嘉翻译的廊桥遗梦，用实践证明西方文体学和中 国传统美学在小说翻译中的应用价值。
