模糊限制语的语用研究及教学 外国语言学及应用语言学专业 研究生陈一睿指导教师段峰 模糊限制语作为一种特殊的语言形式很早就引起了人们的关注。一方 面它们可以改变句子的真值，另一方面它们使事物变得模糊，也可以使人们 的话语显得委婉、得体。根据普林斯( e e p r i c e ) 的研究，模糊限制语可以 分为两类：缓和型模糊限制语和变动型模糊限制语。前者一般修饰整个句子， 称之为句子模糊限制语；后者一般修饰句子中某个成分，称之为成分模糊限 制语。模糊限制语的研究经历了两个阶段：语义阶段和语用阶段。查德 ( l a z a d e h ) 和莱考夫( g e o r g el a k o f f ) 对模糊限制语的研究主要是语义 研究。目前，学者们主要是根据具体语境来研究模糊限制语的语用功能。 语境对模糊限制语的使用及理解有重要意义。比利时国际语用学学会秘 书长，耶夫- 维索尔伦( j e f v e r s c h u e r e n ) 把语境划分为交际语境和语言语境。 交际语境包括语言使用者，心理世界，社交世界和物理世界。在交际过程中， 说话者和释话者有不同的心理世界，社交世界及物理世界。因此正确理解和 合理运用模糊限制语依赖说话者和释话者的这三个世界。， 本文旨在通过对模糊限制语的意义及语用功能的研究，帮助英语学习者 掌握对模糊限制语的使用，并提高他们的语用意识，同时也强调模糊限制语 在语言教学中的意义。 外语学习者的语用特征主要体现在四个方面：言语行为的选择，语义形 式，语义内容，语言结构。恰当理解和运用模糊限制语离不开语境，提高外 语学习者的语用意识可以促进他们对模糊限制语的掌握。根据目前二语语用 习得理论，本文作者提出了四个语用教学的方法：提高语言水平，选用好的 教材，课堂上正确的指导，鼓励积极的语用迁移。 此外，这些建议不仅可以用于模糊限制语的教学，也适用于提高语言学 习者的整个语言水平及语用能力。 本文由五部分组成。 第一章对模糊限制语作出概述； 第二章根据利奇( g e o f f r e yl e e c h ) 的七种语义分析了模糊限制语。并 根据它们的句法功能，把它们分为句子模糊限制语和成分模糊限制语； 第三章在具体交际语境中分析模糊限制语。根据耶夫维索尔伦( j e f v e r s c h u e r e n ) 交际语境的概念，对模糊限制语的运用及理解涉及交际者的性 格、情感、信念、意图等心理因素，及社交场合、社交环境等社交因素，及 事件时间、说话时间、指称时间等时空因素。交际语境的这些因素都会不同 程度地影响语言使用者在使用和理解模糊限制语时作出的语言选择；
