摘要 摘要 习语是一个民族语言体系中的精华，是一个民族文化中的瑰宝。从另一方面 看，它们是人类智慧的结晶。英汉语都以富含习语而著称，无论是书面语还是口 语中，习语的使用在两种语言中都非常普遍。许多语言学家，不管是国内的还是 国外的，都已经在习语这一领域内做了大量的研究，取得了辉煌的成就。 因为英语和汉语在使用过程中存在的很大不同也一定程度上体现在习语的 运用上，许多语言学家在做习语的对比研究。在肯定成绩的同时，我们也应该看 到，对于习语变体的研究尚显不足，就更不用说习语变体的对比研究了。面对这 一现实，本论文的作者在前人对习语和习语变体研究的基础上，利用对比语言学 的理论对习语变体进行了一次详细的对比研究。 为了达到目标，本文作者采取了以下步骤：1 回顾对比语言学的理论( 第 一章) ；2 简单介绍习语研究的现状并讨论习语的重要特征( 第二章) ；3 讨论 “习语变体”( 第三章) ；4 详细得对比研究习语变体( 第四章) ；5 就相似之 处和不同下结论( 第五章) 。 具体说来，( 英汉) 习语都具有以下特征：合成性、固定性和语义不透明性。 从形式上看，习语一般来说是固定的，也就是说，它们不允许什么变化。然而， 在使用过程中，英汉语中都存在一些特例，它们在本文中被称为“习语变体”。 一些变体己经为语言使用者所接受，也就是说，它们已经在长期的使用中获得了 一个“合法的地位，因此它们被称之为“合法变体 。另外一些变体，只是语 言使用者根据相关语言环境的需要而进行的临时的灵活运用，虽然很新颖也能够 被理解，但他们并没有被广泛接受，因此它们被称之为“非法变体 。 本论文的主要目标就是探讨英汉语中习语变体( 合法变体和非法变体) 方面 的类似之处和不同。一方面，关于英语中的合法变体，我们着重讨论下列变化： 替换；增加；删减；改变；较小变异形式( 包括名词数的变化、动词时态的变化、 冠词省略和嵌入变量) 。而汉语合法变体的讨论将集中在以下几方面：结构变化 ( 包括位置颠倒和成分删减或压缩) 、替换( 包括近义词之间的、非近义词之间 的和同音词之间的替换) 。另一方面，关于非法变体的探讨，英语中我们主要关 垒c o n t r a
