摘要近年来国内对思辨能力的研究呈迅猛增长之势。尽管如此，探索课程教学模式改革之后英语专业学生思辨能力发展状况的实证研究并不多。更鲜有以实证方式探索新的课程教学模式即读议写课程教学模式下英语专业学生思辨能力的研究。本研究以输入假说、互动假说和输出假说为理论基础，试图通过受试者所写的英语议论文来观察其思辨水平，旨在探究常规课程教学模式下英语专业学生的思辨能力状况，读议写课程教学模式下英语专业学生的思辨能力状况及与常规课程教学模式相比，读议写教学模式对提高学生的思辨能力是否具有优越性。本研究运用作文分析法，s p s s l 7 0 数据统计分析法并辅以访谈法进行实证研究。实验参与者为某重点师范院校英语专业一年级学生，读议写课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生及常规课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生。对这三个年级学生所写的英语议论文各年级随机抽取3 3 篇共9 9 篇作为本研究的语料。通过分析所搜集的数据与相关资料，本研究揭示了如下结果：( 1 ) 通过分析英语专业一年级学生与常规课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生所写的英语议论文发现随着年级的升高，英语议论文所反映出的英语专业学生的思辨水平在思辨能力认知技能评价标准的一个参数即相关性上有显著提高，而在其他三个参数清晰性，深刻性和逻辑性上只是略有提高，达不到显著水平。总体来说，常规课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生与一年级学生相比思辨水平差异达不到显著水平。( 2 ) 通过分析英语专业一年级学生与读议写课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生所写的英语议论文发现随着年级的升高，英语议论文所反映出的英语专业学生的思辨水平在两个参数相关性和逻辑性上有显著提高，而在其他两个参数清晰性和深刻性上有小幅量变，但达不到显著水平。( 3 ) 通过分析常规课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生与读议写课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生所写的英语议论文发现英语议论文反映出的两组学生的思辨水平在四个参数上均没有显著差异。读议写课程教学模式下英语专业三年级学生的思辨水平略高于常规课程教学模式下的英语专业三年级的思辨水平，读议写课程教学模式对提高英语专业学生的思辨能力具有一定的优越性。本研究能丰富现有的有关思辨能力的研究，并对中国的有关英语专业学生思辨能力的研究起一定的补充作用。本研究结果表明读议写课程教学模式对英语专业学生思辨能力的提高起了一定的积极作用。这对英语课程教学模式的改革提供了一定的借鉴，对未来更广阔的范围内研究思辨能力具有指导意义。关键词：读议写课程教学模式；常规课程教学模式；英语专业学生；思辨能力a
