摘要 传统的翻译研究是以原文文本为主，注重对翻译标准的遵守。二 十世纪八十年代翻译研究经历的“文化转向 为研究各种翻译现象提 供了新的视角和方法，很快成为了翻译研究的趋势。安德烈勒菲维 尔提出的操纵理论是翻译研究文化派中的一种著名理论。操纵学派认 为，翻译受到三种要素的操纵：意识形态、诗学观和赞助人。其中意 识形态与译本形成时期的主流诗学是影响文学翻译的两个基本因素。 意识形态是一个重要的准则，它对主题的选择、翻译策略的运用、以 及细节的处理都产生着巨大的影响。诗学作为一个社会文学标准的总 和，对翻译中语言的运用起着至关重要的作用。翻译文学作品要树立 何种形象，译者的观点取向和翻译方法都与意识形态和译入语环境中 占主流地位的诗学观紧密相关。本文以操纵论为理论支撑，选择王科 一的傲慢与偏见中译本进行研究分析，旨在探究操纵论对翻译的 影响，试图通过对王译本的个案分析来阐述操纵论三要素中意识形态 与诗学观这两个主要的制约因素对文学翻译产生的影响。 王科一的傲慢与偏见中译本出版于二十世纪五十年代，是该 原著在新中国的首个中译本。王译本产生的特殊历史文化背景为研究 操纵论中意识形态和诗学观对文学翻译的影响提供了很大的空间。通 过译例分析可以看出，受五十年代中国主流意识形态影响，王科一将 原著中主要人物的关系阐释为新生力量与落后阶级的斗争，顺应了当 时特定的社会主题；在五十年代主流诗学观的影响下，王译本语言的 使用既体现了传统中文的表达习惯与结构，又符合现代白话文倡导的 语法标准，在最大程度地令中国读者接收的同时也较为成功地实现了 原著的文化传递。 通过原著和王译本的对比分析与研究，文章得出王科一的中译本 确实存在操纵现象。本文根据操纵论从意识形态和诗学观两方面对研 究的结果进行了解释，指出存在操纵现象并不代表王科一译本对原著 的“不忠”，操纵是翻译的一种策略，是在译入语文化语境中延续原 著艺术生命的一种手段。因此王科一的傲慢与偏见中译本仍是一 部广受读者喜爱及好评的优秀译本。文章同时还指出论文中的某些不 足，以及对未来相关研究的一些展望。 关键词：操纵论；傲慢与偏见；王科一；意识形态；诗学观 a b s t r a c t t r a d i t i o n
