摘要近年来，语码转换已成为语言学研究领域中的热点话题。能否利用和如何利用母语的输入促进外语教学也一直都是外语教学界争论的焦点。因此，在外语教学中教师在母语与目标语间进行的语码转换现象引起了越来越多学者们的关注。在我国大学英语专业课堂中，教师使用语码转换现象仍然普遍存在。本文通过对东北范大学外国语学院英语系两位教授大二精读课教师进行课堂观察、录音等手段收集到了大量语料。通过对这些语料的分析，描绘并且解释了英语专业课堂上教师使用语码转换的情况。本文通过质化分析对教师语码转换的结构和功能进行系统和全面的分类与分析，并且通过量化分析找出了教师最常用的语码转换的结构与功能。本文借用p o p l a c k 的语码转换分类法将教师语码转换分为三类：句间语码转换。句内语码转换，附加语码转换。又根据m y e r s s c o t t o n 提出的“主体语言构造模式 将句内转换分为以l 1 或l 2 为主体语言进行的句内语码转换。根据转换发生的位置不同将句间转换分为句子或小句间转换和谈话者话轮间的转换。通过对各类转换结构数量的统计发现，教师课堂上语码转换的主要结构是由l 2 到l 1 的句子间的语码转换。这一结构主要用于解释教学的内容。为了更加真实的反映大学英语课堂中教师语码转换的情况，本文还对教师语码转换的功能进行了全面系统的分析。本文把r o l i n i a n z i t i 和b r o w n l i e 的课堂教师语码转换功能框架做了简单修改将教师课堂语码转换功能在宏观上分为两类：教学功能及交际功能。然后又根据所进行的课堂观察及对录音的分析将教学功能又具体细分为澄清，强调和检查学生是否理解；将交际功能分为鼓励，表扬，命令及表达教师情绪四个功能。通过对各功能进行的语料分析我们不难发现，英语专业教师在课堂上进行的l 2 与l 1 之间的语码转换，主要用来解释教学的内容，以促进学生的理解。有时也用来强调知识点，或者检查学生是否理解教学内容。教师除了使用语码转换满足教学功能，还把语码转换作为一种交际的策略。教师通过语码转换来鼓励，表扬或者命令学生以此来减缓学生焦虑的心理，调动学生学习的积极性纠正学生的错误，同时还可以提高教学的效率。有时教师还用语码转换来表达自己的情感变化，以此拉近与学生的关系或者委婉的表达自己的不满。此论文的研究结果表明，教师在课堂上适时、适量的使用母语，进行有必要的教学功能及交际功能的语码转换将能够起到促进教学、提高目标语的输入的作用。所以我们应该鼓励外语教师在教学中适当的使用母语。m关键词：语码转换；种类；功能i va b s t r a c tc o d e -
