中文摘要 中文摘要 文化缺省是指作者在与其意向读者交流时对双方共有的相关文化背景知 识的省略。本文从文化及文化缺省的概念出发，进而研究文化缺省这一复杂 语言现象的美学价值以及在翻译中进行补偿的必要性。根据英国翻译理论家 纽马克教授从语篇功能的角度对语篇进行的分类( 表达功能语篇，信息功能 语篇和呼唤功能语篇) 和等效翻译理论，本文分析了一系列翻译实例，并得 出结论：针对不同语篇类型中所蕴涵的文化缺省，译者应当采取不同的补偿 策略和方法，使译文能够尽可能地达到其功能和目的。 具体而言，表达型文本的核心是作者的思想，这类文本是以作者表达自 己为主的。在翻译时，译者应当尽量保留原文的风格和文化背景知识，使译 文读者和原文读者获得同样的感受。针对这类文本中的文化缺省，译者需要 进行翻译补偿的成分相当大，应该主要遵循异化的翻译原则，可采用直译加
