学术论文最重要的交际目的是其信息功能，即向同行展示自己的最新研究成果。要达 到这一目的，作为学术论文缩影的学术论文摘要就起到了至关重要的作用。而语篇的衔接手 段特别是词汇衔接手段就是实现学术论文摘要信息功能的重要t 具之一。 虽然学术论文摘要在学术研究中有着重要的作用，但对它的研究却远远够深入。本文 拟从功能语言学的角度，以韩礼德和哈桑的词汇衔接理论为理论基础和理论框架，对学术论 文摘要的词汇衔接手段进行研究，旨在探讨词汇衔接手段在学术论文摘要这一特殊体裁中是 如何体现语篇连贯的，并对英语和汉语两种语言的衔接手段进行对比研究，希望能找出两种 语言在词汇衔接手段上的异同，同时也对造成这些异同的原因进行探讨。 韩礼德和哈桑( 1 9 7 6 2 0 0 1 ) 把英语的词汇衔接手段分为两大类：词汇的复现关系和词 汇的同现关系。复现关系的形式包括重复、近义词、反义词、上下义词和概括词，语篇中的 句子通过这些复现形式实现相互衔接。同现关系指的是某些词汇在某一语篇中有共同出现的 倾向性。本研究表明，韩礼德和哈桑的词汇衔接模式同样适应于汉语；在学术论文摘要体裁 中，词汇是最主要的衔接手段，在传递学术内容过程中起决定性作用，而语法手段因其极易 引起歧义和误解而很少被采用。在所分析的中英文语料中，重复是出现率最高的词汇衔接手 段。这种现象的出现与摘要这种严肃的体裁本身的要求是分不开的；学术摘要讲求的是严谨， 因此原封不动的原词重复有利于学术内容的精确，所以中英文的作者都不约而同地优先采用 了这种形式。 对于两种语言的词汇衔接手段在学术论文摘要这一体裁中运用的异同，本文也作了初 步探讨。作者得出的结论是：英语在采用原词重复的同时会比中文在较大程度上避免完完全 全的原词重复，倾向于采用同义词、近义词或上下义词来表达同一意义。其内在原因在于两 种语言的本质属性不同：英语注重形合而汉语注重意合，这就导致了两种语言对衔接手段的 不同偏爱，因此即使是同一作者在将其所写的中文摘要翻译成英文的时候也会不知不觉地去 迎合英文的表达习惯。 本论文的数据取自2 0 0 8 年5 月至2 0
