摘要 摘要 本文旨在从新现实主义的角度解读美国犹太作家哈伊姆波托克的光之 书。后现代主义在美国文坛上活跃了四十多年后，逐渐式微。现实主义文学开 始回归人们的视野。从二战后至今，涌现出不少秉承传统现实主义创作原则的现 实主义作家。他们的文学创作在继承现实主义忠于现实传统的同时，又从现代主 义和后现代主义创作技巧中汲取了新营养，并且在2 0 世纪8 0 年代后比较明显地 表现出自身的特色。这样一种不同于传统现实主义的文学创作方式被评论家称之 为新现实主义。 引言部分概括性地介绍了犹太作家哈伊姆波托克的创作生涯以及写作特 色，指出了波托克的作品虽广受读者欢迎，但评论家却很少问津的现象，并对将 要探讨的波托克的第五本小说光之书进行了简略介绍。 第一章回顾了新现实主义兴起的背景，进而探讨了新现实主义秉承传统并且 有所突破的创作特色。本文指出，新现实主义，首先秉承了传统现实主义关注现 实，关注人类生存状况的创作原则，而两次世界大战，原子弹的爆炸，以及新的 国际格局，科技发展等一系列社会变迁必然使社会以及人们的心理产生显著的变 化，也由此给现实主义的创作展现出必然不同与传统现实主义的创作主题。另外， 现代主义和后现代主义的文学理念和较为完善的写作技巧也丰富了新现实主义 的创作手法。由此，本文指出，新现实主义小说应该是能够真实反映当下特定的 社会状况和特定的文化环境，关注生活在其中的人们的心理状态，体现道德和人 文关怀的这样一种现实主义文学创作。并且由于受到现代主义和后现代主义文学 创作的影响，新现实主义在艺术特征上表现为现实主义创作原则和现代、后现代 主义手法的有机融合。 第二章探讨了光之书所反映出的新现实主义的创作主题。光之书以 第二次世界大战和朝鲜战争为背景，真实客观地刻画了当时充斥着死亡威胁的荒 诞不经的世界。并且作为一位犹太作家，波托克从犹太民族的视角出发，侧重描 写出社会的道德混沌。 an e o -
