摘要 舍伍德安德森( 1 8 7 6 1 9 4 1 ) 是美国现代文学中的先驱者之一。在美国现 代文学史上享有非常特殊的地位。威廉福克纳将他奉为“我们这一代作家的父 亲，而马尔科姆考利也称他为“作家的作家，是他们那一代讲故事者中对后 一代的风格和视野都造成影响的唯一一位”。其代表作小城畸人描绘出一幅 美国社会变更时期的小镇“畸人 的群体画面。 表现主义是二十世纪初至三十年代盛行于欧美一些国家的文学艺术流派，也 是西方现代文学中的主要流派之一。表现主义文学重视主观世界，不重视对外在 客观事物的忠实描绘。而是要求突破事物的表象表现事物的内在本质，并用特殊 手法来反映现实，表现人物的扭曲，揭露人类关系的疏远。通常运用象征，重复， 夸张以及怪诞诡异的技巧来揭示其主题。 本文试图分析小城畸人这一作品所体现的表现主义技巧，揭露“畸人 的主观内心世界，展现他们情感表达的扭曲，剖析人与人之间的隔阂而造成的疏 远。 本文分为三章，主要通过分析作品中表现主义六个技巧来论述“畸人 的主 观性，扭曲及疏远。在第一章中通过对瞬间与内心独白的技巧分析，体现“畸人” 的主观性，第二章中分析了怪诞诡异的技巧和重复的手法的运用，来揭露“畸人 的扭曲，最后一章通过分析象征和夸张的手法，来展示人与人之间的疏远。
