磺士孝往论文 m a s t e r st h e $ 1 s 内容摘要 在二十世纪八十年代以前，人们想当然地认为读、写能力是语言教学的任务， 而听、说能力则是人与生俱来的天赋。人们在最近几十年才开始认识到听力训练在 语言教学中的重要性，并有许多研究从不同角度对外语听力教学进行了探讨。国内 外许多专家都强调至下而上策略和至上而下策略在听力训练中占有同等重要的地 位。然而当今的大部分研究主要集中在对至上而下策略的培训上，对至下而上策略 的研究却寥寥无几。国外有专家指出，在近年来的研究中，至上而下策略得到了强 调而至下而上训练的作用被低估了。国内的研究者也认为我们过度地强调了至上而 下策略的重要性，却把至下而上的训练当成了禁忌。在过去的研究中，凡是提到至 下而上训练的，一般都建议进行基本的语音训练或辨音练习。还没有一项研究将至 下而上训练作为听力训练的主体，贯穿于整个听力教学中。 本研究提出了英语听力异步教学模式( a s y n c h r o n o u sl i s t e n i n gi n s t r u c t i o n 简称 a l l ) 的概念。并对其在e f l ( e n g l i s ha saf o r e i g nl a n g u a g e ) 环境下的有效性进行 实证研究和探讨。该听力教学模式以至下而上训练为基础，同时使学生在实践中体 会并运用至上而下策略。在本研究初期，进行了一项针对5 2 名大学新生的初步调 查研究。结果发现，至下而上处理能力的低下会在很大程度上影响至上而下策略的 发挥。在e f l 环境中，由于学生们在课外的日常生活中很少有机会练习听力，所 以在听力课堂上，他们比身处e s l ( e n g l i s ha sas e c o n dl a n g u a g e ) 环境中的英语学 习者需要更多的时间来接触英语语言本身。在e f l 环境下，至下而上听力训练在听 力教学中具有重要的意义，它是至上而下策略顺利实施的基础。 本研究提出了两个假设：( 1 ) 学生从主观上接受听力异步教学模式；( 2 ) 在e f l 环境中，听力异步教学模式是有效的。本研究的样本为1 3 0 名非英语专业的大学一 年级学生。他们按专业分为两个班。其中的一个被随机定为实验班，而另一个则为 控制班。实验班在实验结束时，接受了问卷调查。闯卷调查的目的是为了得到学生 们对a u 教学模式和传统听力教学模式的对比评估，从而检验第一个假设的真实 性，即学生是否能够从主观上接受听力异步教学模式。实验班和控制班还接受了实 验前后对比测试，以检验第二个假设的真实性，即检验札i 听力教学模式在e f l 环境中是否有效。通过问卷调查和测试收集到的数据，运用s p s s 软件进行了处理。 问卷调查统计结果显示，学生们对听力异步教学的评价和他们对传统听力教学 n 方法的评价之间存在显著性差异。听力异步教学的各项平均分均显著高于传统听力 教学的各项平均分。实验前后的测试结果表明，在实验前，两班的听力水平没有显 著性差异；但是在实验结束后，两个班的听力测试平均分出现了显著性差异：实验 班的平均成绩显著高于控制班的成绩。 本研究得到了以下结论：学生们普遍欢迎听力异步教学模式；在e f l 环境中， 听力异步教学模式是有效的。 关键词：e f l 环境：英语听力教学：至下而上：至上而下：听力异步教学： 独立样本t 检验 i a b s t r a c t w i t hp e o p l e sr e a l i z a t i o no ft h ei m p o r t a n c eo fl i s t e n i n gi n s t r u c t i o ni nl a n g u a g e t e a c h i n g , s t u d i e so nl i s t e n i n gi n s t r u c t i o na 托i n c r e a s i n gt os o m ee x t e n t m a n yr e s e a r c h e r s 。 b o t ha b r o a da n d 砒h o m e , a r g u et h a tb o t t o m -
