本研究描述了英语专业一至四年级同题议论文中词汇衔接的使用情况，旨在 发现英语专业学生作文中词汇衔接的发展模式，从而给英语作文教学提出一些建 议。研究问题可以分为以下几点： 1 英语专业学生议论文中，词汇衔接中的简单和复杂重复的发展模式是什 么? 2 英语专业学生议论文中，词汇衔接中近义和反义关系的发展模式是什 么? 3 英语专业学生议论文中，词汇衔接中上下义和整体部分关系的发展模式 是什么? 本研究使用的语料选自中国学习者英语口笔语语料库( 简称s w e c c l ) ，抽 取其子语料库中国学习者英语笔语语料库( 简称w e c c l ) 中的6 0 篇由一至四 年级学生写的同题议论文，其中每个年级1 5 篇。语料分析包括三个步骤：标注， 计算词汇衔接链的数量，利用o n e 、a ya n o v a 比较它们之间的差异。主要以 h a l l i d a y 和h a s a i l 的词汇衔接理论为理论框架。 本研究的主要发现包括以下几个方面： 一、英语专业学生议论文中简单重复的发展模式是随着年级的上升，简单重 复使用的频率呈下降趋势，但是复杂重复，近义关系，反义关系，上下义关 系和整体部分关系使用的频率都呈上升趋势。这种发展模式说明英语专业学 生经过四年的英语学习能够更加有效的使用一些词汇衔接方式。 二、 词汇衔接的频率在从一年级到二年级和从二年级到三年级两个阶段增长 较快，而且，与整体部分关系的使用相反，其它五种词汇衔接在前一阶段增 长比后一阶段增长快。这种倾向表明英语专业学生的产出性词汇量在早期阶 段增长较快，而且语言习得的高原现象也可能存在于词汇衔接手段的习得过 程中。 三、在六种词汇衔接手段中，简单重复占有最高的比例，其次是近义关系， 、，a n g z h o uu n i v e r s i 够：m at h e s i s 复杂重复，上下义关系，反义关系和部分整体关系。这个结果显示简单重复 也是英语专业学生为了使语篇更加衔接与连贯而最常用的衔接手段。同时， 也说明英语专业学生的产出性词汇缺少多样性。 本研究的结果对教学有以下三点启示：首先，写作教师可以直接地指导学生 使用衔接手段而不是完全靠学生自己感悟。其次，学生应该通过掌握单词的多种 表达方式扩大词汇量，了解词汇在不同语境中的意义和使用。最后，写作教师可 以将阅读与写作相结合。 本研究有一些不足需要在以后的相关研究中进行弥补：首先，分析的样本不 够大，因此可能不能运用于所有的英语专业学生。其次，本研究的进行的是截面 研究，长期的跟踪研究将可弥补本研究的结果和结论中的一些不足。第三，本研 究中的标注和标注标准主要由研究者本人完成，其主观性也可能会影响研究结
