硕士学位论文 m a s ie r sf j i e s i s 内容摘要 外语学习者遇到的诸多困难是来自文化差异。一般认为，在本族语文化与 目的语文化不同的地方，本族语的文化知识会妨碍目的语学习和交流，即负迁 移；而在相同的地方，本族语的文化知识则有助于目的语学习和交流，即难迁 移。文化迁移有多种不同层面，就外语学习和交流来说，主要有词汇、语用( 言 语行为) 语篇等层面。 ( 词汇文化可以分为词语、成语、谚语和格言几大类。其中多数具有丰富的 社会历史文化内涵，体现一个民族的价值观、道德准则和思想。在跨文化交际 中，这类文化迁移比较常见。 言语行为规则在两种语言间的迁移往往会直接导致交际中断或引起冲突。 言语行为如称呼、问候、话题、恭维、打电话等之中的不少语用失误可以归咎 于文化迁移， 跨文化交际不仅受词汇、语用规则的影响，而且还受修辞方式( 语篇策略) 的影响。语篇迁移常表现于对话语连接的不同期待。由于这些差异，既本族语 的人可能会认为非本族语使用者的讲话、写作不连贯。有证据显示不少亚洲人 通常采用归纳方式进行表述；而西方人所期待的语篇策略通常足开门见山、直 入主题，即演绎法。 如果将词汇、语用、语篇看作是表象的话，那么，价值观、思维方式则是 其实质了。后者往往是文化迁移的根本原因。 通常用来分析文化模式的价值观范围主要有人性、人与自然的关系和人的 社会关系。 西方传统文化认为人性本恶：而在中国及受到儒教影响的亚洲国家看来， 人性本善。中国传统观念认为人与自然是一体；西方文化将宇宙看作是由两个 各自独立的分离体入与自然组成：人与自然各自独立。至于社会关系， 中国社会非常强调和谐，但这种和谐多是建立在等级基础之上的；而两方社会 则非常强调平等。社会关系的另一层面是个体主义一集体主义。大多数亚洲文 硕士学位论文 m a s i i ：r 1s1 i 也s i s 化侧重集体主义，而西方文化则偏重个体主义。 思维方式是连接语言与文化的桥梁。整体思维在中国文化中尤为明显，这 与中国文化对人与自然关系的看法密切相关，人与自然、个体与社会是一相互 依赖、不可分割的整体；西方文化倾向于把一切事物一分成一个或更多的矛 盾类别或互相排斥的组合。中国传统思维方式重视事物本身的意义而非逻辑分 析，善于以形象语言表达抽象思想；西方思维具有理性、分析、实证、系统、 准确等逻辑特征? “ 从跨文化交际中文化迁移的大量事实中不难看出，不涉及有关语言的社会 文化是难以真正学好外语的。培养学生的跨文化交际能力应是外语教学的重要 目标。列此，本文最后提出了一点思考和建议。
