摘要 乔伊斯卡罗尔欧茨系当代美国著名女作家。她长袖善舞，作 品涵盖小说、短篇、诗歌、戏剧、散文等诸多形式，也因此被评论界 称为美国最具才华的作家。迄今为止，小说贝尔弗勒堪称欧茨创 作之极品，因其体现了欧茨的创作已由早期的幽闭恐怖倾向转变为后 期的新颖独创。 贝尔弗勒独创性之一为作者复杂的时空观念，与米哈伊 尔巴赫金的时空体理论不谋而合。这种时空观念主要由时空错乱、 结构倒置、拼贴等叙事策略巧妙展现。 伴随文学领域现代主义与后现代主义的发展，作家多种叙事策略 展现的时空体性已变得日益陌生与复杂。所幸叙事学提供的研究方法 在文本分析包括时空体分析方面正占据越来越大的优势。因此，从叙 事策略角度探讨文本的时空体性切实可行。 本论文试图用四章从叙事策略角度，特别借助热拉尔热奈特的 叙事理论探讨贝尔弗勒中的时空体性。第一章简要介绍巴赫金的 时空体理论、叙事理论与叙事策略，强调从叙事策略角度探讨时空体 性可行并具有意义。第二章，从具体文本分析入手，讨论贝尔弗勒 中时空倒错如何体现巴赫金的核心时间观念“时间一去不复 返”。第三章主要探索结构倒置如何刻画贝尔弗勒城堡，同时诠释贝 尔弗勒城堡体现了巴赫金的空间理论特别是“城堡理论”。第四章为 重点，主要讨论贝尔弗勒中拼贴技巧如何实现体裁转换，指出整 部小说写作技巧出彩之处正在于此。
