摘要 交际能力由语言能力和语用能力构成。语言能力指理想的语言使用者的内在 语言规则知识( c h o m s k y ，1 9 6 5 ) ，而语用能力指运用语言进行得体交际的能力 ( 何自然，1 9 9 7 ) 。英语教学和学习中，语言能力和语用能力缺一不可。而在中 国，人们往往把语言能力作为英语教学和学习的重心，却忽视了语用能力。结果， 好多学生掌握了大量单词和语法，而在实际的交际中却说不出得体而准确的英 语。因此，考察英语学习者语用能力的状况，找出其中存在的问题并力图找到解 决方法，具有现实的意义。 模糊限制语具有丰富的语用功能，它与语用学中一些基本理论和原则如会话 含义理论、合作原则、礼貌原则等有着密切的联系。在言语交际中，正确使用模 糊限制语，能使语言表达更客观、更有礼貌。关于模糊限制语在新闻、哲学、经 济、医学等诸多领域的使用，都有语用方面的研究。本文将调查分析非英语专业 大学生模糊限制语使用能力的状况，并以此作为一个侧面来反映他们语用能力的 总体状况。 作者首先找出帘i 视野大学英谲课本3 0 篇课文中的模糊限制语，并把它们划 分为不同的种类。每个种类的使用都通过具体例子作了说明。然后以此作为对照， 分析了5 0 位非英语专业大学生作文中的模糊限制语。通过调查，我们发现学生 们模糊限制语的使用中存在大量问题。这些问题可能由多种原因引起，比如对语 用能力的看法，汉语语言文化习惯的影响，以及教师的原因等等。这些原因也会 导致语用能力培养中的其它问题。在以后的英语教学和学习中，我们应该重视语 用能力这一交际能力的重要组成部分，并采取有效措施来提高这种能力。 虽然作者作了很大努力，但由于多种条件的限制，本文仍然存在许多不足。 首先，只对5 0 位学生的作文作了统计分析，而且这些学尘都是来自一所学校。 如果条件许可，能调查不同学校乃至不同地区的学生，那么结果将会更有说服力。 j e 次，馍枷限制语在【二】语和书面语中都被使用，而由于时间及其它原因的限制， 本文作者只统计分析了课文和学生作文中使用的模糊限制语，这也影响了调查结 果的说服力。在以后的研究中，应尽可能多地使用其它方法来统计和分析数据。
