摘要 语言磨蚀( 1 a n g u a g ea t t r i t i o n ，简称语蚀) ，是语言学习的逆过程，意指双语或多 语使用者由于某种语言使用的减少或停止，其运用该语言的能力随着时间的推移而逐 渐减退。1 9 8 0 年在美国宾夕法尼亚大学召开的“语言技能磨蚀会议”标志着语蚀作 为- i 1 新学科的兴起。如今，语蚀研究在语言学和应用语言学理论研究、语言教学和 语言规划等方面都受到很大重视。 本文拟通过分析英语语法语素的磨蚀特征，希冀从语言习得的逆过程语蚀的 角度来丰富和完善二语学习理论。笔者在回顾和整理前人研究成果的基础上，以论证 雅各布逊“回归假设 为切入点，并以英语语法语素为研究对象，分析了中国成年英 语学习者的英语磨蚀情况。具体而言，本文的主要研究问题有三：1 ) 英语语法语素 磨蚀的顺序特征是怎样的? 2 ) 雅各布逊的“回归假设”是否同样可以解释汉语语境 下的英语语法语素磨蚀? 3 ) 英语语法语素磨蚀的影响因素主要有哪些? 本研究的调查对象为1 8 4 名往届大学毕业生。笔者通过设计相应问卷，获取研究 数据，并采用社会科学统计软件s p s s1 5 0 对数据进行分析。所得研究结果表明：中 国成人英语学习者的语法语素磨蚀按照“先习得，后磨蚀；后习得，先磨蚀 的顺序 进行，这初步验证了“回归假设”所述的“镜像”磨蚀过程在汉语语境下同样成立。 此外，英语语法语素磨蚀受到以下一些主要因素的影响：( 1 ) 磨蚀前水平。磨蚀前水 平与磨蚀程度呈负相关，即水平低的学习者比高水平的学习者更易磨蚀；( 2 ) 受蚀时 间。基于对磨蚀程度的敏感性，磨蚀时间可基本划分为三个阶段：1 - 4 年、5 - 8 年、8 年以上，其中，多数学习者在5 8 年间对外语磨蚀更为敏感；(
