摘要 摘要 刻板印象是心理学和社会文化学领域重要的研究对象之一。当今，全球化愈演愈烈，不 同文化群体之间的接触和交流更加频繁和深入。因此，在跨文化交际中有效管理刻板印象具 有很强的现实意义。本文主要研究了中国被试与美国被试相互之间的刻板印象及他们的自我 刻板印象。 本研究通过发放问卷的形式收集数据。最后回收2 5 6 份有效问卷，其中1 3 2 份来自美 国被试，1 2 4 份来自中国被试。问卷采用了k a t z 和b r a l y ( 1 9 3 3 ) 发明的形容词列表法及l e p o r e 和b r o w n ( 2 0 0 0 ) 的偏见测量表，并根据本研究的特定背景对这两个方法进行了合理修改。 问卷还包含作者本人设计的问题，获取的数据包括以下几个方面：中美两国人相互的刻板印 象，这两组被试的自我刻板印象( a u t o s t e r e o t y p e ) ，被试的偏见程度，以及被试如何获取文 化刻板印象，等等。正式调查前的预测证实了该问卷的内在可靠性和有效性。 研究结果表明美国被试对中国人的刻板印象和中国被试对美国人的刻板印象总体来 说是正面的，而且他们的相互刻板印象值要高于自我刻板印象值。被试的平均偏见程度较低， 对对方的了解正面信息多于负面信息。此外，大多数被试愿意与另一方进行跨文化交际。 为了促进群体间的交际，人们必须学会有效管理刻板印象。第一、增加与外来文化交 流的兴趣；第二，不要把刻板印象作为预测和理解外来群体成员行为的唯一基础，大量积累 关于其他文化的知识，在特定跨文化交流情境下搜集交流对象的具体个人信息，而非简单地 运用关于其所属文化群体的知识来判断他，她的性格和行为；第三、努力学习跨文化交际技 巧，包括辨识与刻板印象不相符的新信息、换位思考、根据实际需要调整跨文化交际行为、 准确预测和理解外来文化成员的行为等。 此研究的目的是为了使中美两国人进一步了解他们的刻板印象对跨文化交际行为的 影响，并提出了改进跨文化交际能力的些建议。作者希望本文可以引起心理学家，社会学 家、文化学家和跨文化交流学家的重视，并通过不同学科间的合作，对刻板印象进行深入多
