中文摘要 中文摘要 语言间的相互输出和吸收是语言发展的常态，这一点在英语发展过 程中表现得尤其突出。作为世界上使用最广的语言之一，英语不仅对其 他各民族语言产生了重要影响，同时也不断吸收其它民族语言的语汇。 由于历史文化因素，外国语言对英语影响最大的主要是斯堪的纳维亚 语、法语和拉丁语。这些语言不仅给英语输入了许多专业用语，而且也 提供了大量的基本词汇。这些外来词在英语中数量庞大，它们的存在极 大地丰富了英语的词汇宝库，使得英语更具有活力与表现力，但同时也 对英语学习者提出了更高的要求。除了一部分与日常生活紧密相连的外 来语之外，还有相当数量的外来语属于专业化语汇。英语专业高年级本 科生、硕士研究生、博士研究生和专业教师在阅读英语文史哲论著过程 中，时遇p e rs e , ap r i o r i , a dh o c 等外来学术表述性话语，对其发音、意 义或文体色彩不甚了了，查阅语文性通用词典( g e n e r a ld i c t i o n a r y ) ，犹 如大海捞针。因此，本文主要回答：1 ) 为何文史哲英语文献中使用这 些词语? 2 ) 如何为使用者提供此类词语的解释? 本课题研究将围绕以 上两个问题展开，从语言发展史、文体学和词典编纂学角度，为编纂英 一汉学术外来语简明手册搭建理论框架和积累基本素材。 ap r i o r i , a dh o c 这样 的斜体词，即本文所关注的英语中的学术外来语。这类词与常见的应用于某个专业 领域或用于日常生活的外来语不同，它是指学术论著中的外来学术表述性话语。面 对此类词语，不少英语文史哲原著阅读者对其读音、意义和文体特色等不甚了了。 查阅语文性通用词典，犹如大海捞针，而且还有相当一部分根本找不到，这给读者 造成了相当大的不便。这种现象促使我们产生编纂一本专门解释此类词语的语文专 科类小手册的念头，即英一汉学术外来语简明手册。因此，本课题在很大意义上 是为这一手册搭建理论框架，积累基本素材。 第一章为引言部分，总述撰写本文的目的、意义及整个篇章结构。 第二章是对英语中的外来语和双语词典编纂两个领域研究现状的综述。本章节 将现有对英语中外来语的研究总结性地划分为七大类；而对双语词典编纂的研究总 结则主要以三本具有代表性的著作为分析对象，即兹古斯塔的词典学概论、胡扬 明等的词典学概论以及黄建华、陈楚祥的双语词典学导论，内容涉及词典定 位、编纂原则、编纂过程和编纂方法等四个方面。 第三章是对英语中外来语的概述，分别回答了什么是外来语? 外来语是如何进 入英语? 外来语分为几类? 外来语学术用语属于哪类? 等问题。 第四章通过对文体、文体学的理论描述，着重引出英语外来语学术用语的文体 特征，即书面体与正式体。 第五章为问卷调查，通过问卷设计检测英语专业研究生对英语学术外来语的掌 握程度，并运用s p s s 软件对卷面成绩进行分析，其结论印证了原有的设想，即英语 专业研究生不能很好地掌握此类词语，再次证明编写此类专科手册的必要性与实用 性。 第六章就编纂英一汉学术外来语简明手册的性质、原则、规模、选词范围、 选词原则和体例问题等进行详细阐述。
