Reviewa) Ask students to retell what happened at Kangkangs birthday party.b) Teacher asks and the class answer.(1) When is Kangkangs birthday?(2) Whats the date today?(3) What was the date yesterday?(4) How many months are there in a year? What are they?(5) How many seasons are there in a year?Step2.Presentationa) Write the word “season” on the blackboard. And show the pictures of the four seasons. Every picture will be asked like this:(1) Which season is it?(2) Whats the weather like in ?(3) What activities can you do in this season?Teacher leads to the news sentence about asking the weather and shows two new sentence patterns: Whats the weather like ? Hows the weather? Its a good season for . Its a good time to .b) Ask the students to describe the four seasons and the activities done in each season.c) Let the students listen to 1a, and then finish 1b.d) Let the students read 1a together. Teach language points to master the new sentence patterns.e) Ask the students to listen to 1a again and read after the tape.F) Two students a group and act this dialogue out.Step3. Consolidationa) Teacher asks the following questions:(1) Whats your favorite season?(2) Why?(3) Whats the weather like in ?(4) Whats your favorite activity in ? Then let the students work in pairs to practice the main sentence patterns in this section.b) Lead the students to listen to 2, then answer the questions:What are Zhou Weiluns and Marias favorite season? And why? Then listen to 2 again and finish 2.Step4. Practicea) Teacher adds some sentences describing seasons and lets the students chant in a certain rhythm.Spring is warm. Summer is hot. Fall is cool. Winter is cold.b) Listen to 3a, the answer the question:Which season dose Jane/Kangkang like best?c) Let the students listen 3a again and read after it, teacher pays attention to their pronunciation and intonation, and learn the sentence patterns.d) Ask students to work in pairs and finish 3b according to the pictures in 3b to consolidate the learned sentence patterns.Step5.
