Show a picture of some kinds of salad and lead in the class.Collect the ideas. 2. Show the new words with countable nouns on the left, uncountable nouns on the right. 3. Have Ss ask for the amount in pairs like this:- How many watermelons do you have? - One watermelon.-How much yogurt do you have? -One cup of yogurt.1. Read the grammar and try to understand. 2. Try to say the amount of the things on the screen.3Make dialogues in pairs.通过grammar呈现使学生进一步明确重难点,通过pair-work使学生突破重难点。Step4 Listening (5分钟)1. Call Ss attention to the chart in 2a. Play the tape for Ss.2. Look at the chart in 2b with Ss. Play the tape twice more for Ss. 1. Listen to the tape and write down the ingredients under “how much” and “how many” and next to the amount.通过听力练习,锻炼了学生的听力理解能力;在巩固与运用本课新词汇的同时,让学生进一步感知可数与不可数名词量的表达方式和how much/how many用法。Step5 Learning and Practice (13分钟)Challenge Ss memory. Then lead to learn how to make the fruit salad.1. Show pictures with some key verbs. Then let Ss fill in the blanks to complete the dialogue of making fruit salad.2. Now have Ss practice speaking how to make a fruit salad in pairs. After two minutes, check by asking some pairs to show in class.3. First put one teaspoon of butter on a slice of bread. Then cut up an onion and a tomato. Add these to the bread. Next, put on some lettuce and three turkey slices. Put two teaspoons of relish on the turkey.
