Unit 1 How Do You Feel Lesson 5 Danny Isnt at SchoolThis is the fifth lesson in this unit. The main topic is conversation practice, so improving the students abilities of listening and speaking on application knowledge in real life is very important. 教学目标【知识目标】Key vocabulary: homework, can , take, great. The master the key words and sentence patterns.【情感目标】Learn to care for others when we talk with others.The pattern master how to ask others feel. 教学重难点【教学重点】Learn how to ask others feel.【教学难点】Learn to use sentence pattern “Whats the matter?”. 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-upGreet each other.T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hi, Miss Wu. T: Where is Jane? Ss: He isnt at school. T: Whats the matter? Ss: Her foot hurts. Step 2. Listening and vocabulary1. Play the recording and ask the students to listen and check how many words they heard.2. Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear. 3. Check the answers with the whole students.4. Use PPT to show the key words this lesson.Step 3. Listen and readRevision 1. Lets review. Whats the matter? My arm hurts. 2.Listen and repeat the text again, then ask some groups to act it out. Ask some students to correct the wrong ones.3. Put the students into groups of four to practice the dialogue. The students repeat it several times, changing roles each time.4. Ask the students to sum up the useful sentences in the dialogue and introduce “Everyday English.”Step 4. Pronunciation 1. Explain that this activity focuses on some English phonemes which are difficult to pronounce for speakers of Chinese.2. Play the recording once without stopping.3. Play it again and ask the students to repeat.4. Practice the sounds in pairs, then choose one correct option out of 4 finish the exercises on the PPT.Step 5. SpeakingWork in pairs. Ask and answer about the people in the pictures. A:Where is Danny? B: Danny ist at school today.A:What does he feel? B:He doesnt feel good.Step 6.
