Unit 5 My futureLesson 25 I want to be a teacher 教材分析本课的教学内容是第五单元的第一课时, 内容主要涉及通过发现自己的特长, 预测自己的职业。在课前先让学生介绍自己的理想和愿望, 课上学生通过小组合作相互交流, 学习重要词汇和表达句式。通过对话的学习, 让学生了解具有什么品质才能当一名老师。 教学目标【知识与能力目标】记忆单词might, scientist, grow, engineer短语give a talk, be nice to, grow up。 学习一些用于介绍理想和愿望的句型: I hope to be a teacher. Im not sure I can be a scientist. I would help sick children. 。【过程与方法目标】Reading and speaking【情感态度价值观目标】通过谈论未来, 了解表示理想和愿望的句式并学习相关的单词和短语, 帮助学生学习预测未来生活和他们的工作。 教学重难点【教学重点】掌握本课重点词汇、短语和语言点。情态动词might和would的用法。【教学难点】重要句子: You gave a good talk to the students yesterday. I would be nice to my students. You might be a scientist when you grow up. Im not sure I can be a scientist 课前准备图片,PPT 教学过程Step . Lead inLeading in 【情景1】T: Here is a riddle. What is always in front of you, but you can never see it?Ss: The future. T: Quite right! Tomorrow is future. Next week is future. Next year is future. Future also means the time when you grow up. In this class we are going to talk about your future. Please think what you are going to do when you grow up. Please draw a picture of your future job or life. Two minutes later, ask students to show their drawings and let the rest of the class guess. T: Well, lets look at Li Mins picture. S1: Li Min is going to be a teacher. T: Great! So, Li Min, what are you good at?Li: I am good at talking to and helping others. T: So, you will be a good teacher. Well, how about Tao Lan?S2: Tao Lan is going to be a singer. Tao: I am good at singing and dancing. T: Wonderful! We all hope your dreams will come true. Do you still remember Li Ming and Wang Mei? Now theyre talking about their future. Lets listen to the tape and find what they are going to be in the future. 设计意图鼓励学生敢于用英语表达自己的愿望, 引出关于未来的话题。Leading in 【情景2】T: Today we will start a new unit. Who can tell me the title of Unit 5?S1: I can. Its “My Future”. T: Right. The future is the opposite of the past. In this unit, we will talk about different jobs and plans you might have for your future. Do you have any ideas about your future?Students discuss the topic in groups. T: What are you good at?S2: Im good at drawing/building/singing/math/English/social studies, etc. T: What would you like to be in the future?/What are you going to be when you grow up?S3: I want to be a police officer/a teacher/a baker/a singer, etc. 设计意图师生对话, 直接谈论主题。学生试着用英语回答问题, 提高自己的表达能力。Step . Listening 1. Listen to the passage and correct the pronunciation. Try to understand the meaning of the dialogue. 2. Listen to the dialogue and answer the questions of Exercise 1 in “Lets Do It!”. (Listen once or three times to finish it. ) 设计意图播放课文中的对话, 锻炼学生听的能力, 同时使学生在脱离汉语干扰的情况下, 用英语思维去理解对话。Step . Reading1. Read the lesson and answer the questions. (First, you should read the questions and know the meanings of the questions. Second, read the dialogue silently and decide if the statements below are true or false. ) (1) Li Ming gave a good talk to the students yesterday. (2) Wang Mei wants to be a scientist. (3) Li Ming really has a headache. 【Keys】(1) T(2) F(3) F2. Ask the students to read the dialogue and then finish Exercise 2 in “Lets Do It!”. Several minutes later, ask the students to check the answers in groups. 设计意图熟读课文, 完成练习, 提高自己的阅读能力。3. Ask the students to read after the tape. Then ask them to read the dialogue aloud in pairs and then pick out the useful phrases. Explain the key phrases to them. 教材解读1. Its hard sometimes to talk about the future. “Its+adj. + to do sth. ”表示“做某事是的”, 在此句型中, It为形式主语, 真正的主语是后面的不定式短语 to do sth. 。为了保持句子的平衡, 动词不定式短语作主语时, 常用 it 作形式主语, 而将真正的主语(动词不定式短语) 后置。常见句型结构还有: “Its+adj. +(not) to do sth. ”和“Its+adj. + for sb. (not) to do sth. ”。Its important to get to school on time every day. 每天按时到校很重要。Its difficult for us to win the match. 对于我们来说, 打赢这场比赛很困难。2. I have no idea. 相当于I dont know. , 意为“我不知道”。3. You are good at talking to people. talk to和talk with 都表示“和谈话”, 只是talk to 侧重于一方说, 另一方听, talk with 侧重双方交谈。Our head teacher is talking to my parents. 我们的班主任正在和我的父母谈话。Look! She is talking with her good friend. 看!她正在和她的好朋友交谈。【拓展】talk about 意为“谈论”。Many students are talking about their new English teacher. 许多学生正在谈论他们的新英语老师。4. I would be nice to my students. I wouldnt give them too much homework on weekends!would 是 will 的过去式, 可用于过去将来时, 但在这里是情态动词, 意为“将要, 想要”, 表示意愿, 后面加动词原形。He would eat nothing. 他不愿吃东西。be nice to sb. 相当于 be good/kind to sb. , 意思是“对某人好”。You have been good/nice/kind to me. 你一直对我都很好。too much意为“太多的”, 常用来修饰不可数名词。too many 也表示“太多的”, 常用来修饰可数名词的复数形式。much too 意为“太”, 常用来修饰形容词或副词。There is too much food in the fridge. 冰箱里食物太多了。5. You might be a scientist when you grow up. might 是情态动词, 也是may的过去式, 表示推测时, 可能性比 may 小, 表示说话人对这件事不确定, 没有把握的态度。He might come this evening, but Im not sure. 他今晚可能会来, 但是我不确信。grow up意为“长大”。I havent seen you for years; you have grown into a man. 几年不见你, 你都长成大人了。设计意图小组内讨论分析课文, 写出自己已经学会的知识点和不理解的知识点。 Step .
