a t c h2 2 摘要 约瑟夫海勒( 1 9 2 3 1 9 9 9 ) 是美国二战后最伟大的小说家之一。他的第一部 小说第二十二条军规( 以下简称为军规) 被认为是黑色幽默的代表作，同 时也是后现代主义的先驱作品。本文试用加拿大理论家琳达哈琴的后现代理论 对军规的后现代特征进行分析，主要探讨军规的矛盾性、历史性和政治 性。 在军舰中，充满着悖论式的语言和反逻辑的对话。作品的结构混乱无序 在一定程度上与历史事件的先后发生顺序形成一种新的矛盾。而体现在亲情、友 情、爱情上的人物之间的关系在战争的腐蚀下也充满着矛盾。表面上关系的和谐 与实质情感上的背叛或是明争暗斗形成了更深层次的矛盾。 海勒的战争经历构成了小说的历史背景，反映了二战时期的历史。“宣誓运 动”体现了麦卡锡时期的“忠诚调查”。在那一时期，一旦人们要丌展活动，就 必须签字以示效忠。而牧师的“番茄事件 则影射了二十世纪四五十年代阿尔 杰希斯被控告为苏联共产党间谍事件。同时，海勒将二战后期，尤其是麦卡锡 时期的混乱的社会现实问题化了。 小说的政治特征主要体现在等级、性别、种族上。军官为了自己的提升，利 用军队给予的权利，逼迫普通士兵冒死做没有必要的飞行。士兵把妓女、护士等 女性视为玩物和控制的对象。白人军官和士兵视印第安士兵怀特哈尔福特为“异
