摘要摘要新闻报道，作为一种比较常见的文体，受到了英语学习者和研究者的广泛关注。随着中国在世界范围内越来越密切、频繁的经济交流活动，财经新闻英语也日益成为人们日常经济生活中不可或缺的重要组成部分。新闻语言总是随着时代发展在不断变化，因此它具有自己鲜明的特点。作为新闻英语的一个分支，许多著作对其文体特征进行了详细描述与概括。但新闻英语作为一种功能语体实际上包含着若干次语体，对该语体的研究仅限于财经新闻英语这一次语体是不够的。且新闻文体是一个复杂的合成体，由不同的新闻材料合成的，文体特征也不同。因此只分析新闻文体而并不对其明确界定，就很难找到一致的文体特征。本文尝试对另一次语体股市报道英语进行研究，旨在扩展新闻英语文体研究的范围。韩礼德认为，语言是一个意义的潜势，语言的运用实际使用受语场，语旨和语式三大语境因素的制约，且这种制约关系是双向的。语篇与语境保持一致即符合语域要求，才是语篇连贯。语域分析注重语言结构表层，把注意力放在语言变体上据有有效统计数字的词汇和语法形式的特征分析，把语言形式，意义和社会环境有机的结合起来。因此本文作者把语域理论分析运用于股市报道问题的研究，从韩礼德提出的作为语言情景语境层面和语言词汇语法层面中介的语场，语旨和语式三个角度切入，将对语篇的阐述和语言描写有机结合起来，侧重词汇和语法形式特征分析，形成了比较完整的文体学研究分析模式。分析表明韩礼德的系统功能文体学理论适用于对股市报道英语的分析，并且有助于更好的理解股市报道英语的特征。读者可以利用它分析英语股市报道语篇的文体特点。关键词：股市报道英语、次语体、文体、语域n
