Comparison between QQ and MSNQQ and MSN, the two of the main tools of online communication, has now been widely used by people in China, MSN used in the world more. Different opinions has been raised ever since then. Now I just want to give my personal opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of them. QQ, more widely used in China and by overseas students from China as well, is now by all means one of the most popular among IT softwares. It provides convenient talking display, personal space and other functions like QQ pet. Leaving messages are allowed even when others are not online. But to me, QQ is convinient, but not legally personal. Tecent tries to charge everything by every little stuff, like QQ custume, QQ face, QQ mobile attachment and so on. Its well utilising the curiosity and pride of human beings, especially of the only child in China, who wants to reveal themselve in terms of fancy decoration to show the so-called individual personality. IP can be revealed by QQ. You have to go through a really hellish procedure to put another person into your friends list, though its better modified now. Worst of all, considered by me as violation of privacy, is that QQ number can be searched by putting in some basic, or most of the time random requisites. Though this violation can be solved by setting block in privacy control, but it still proves a big headache for people who are not so dexterous in their QQ skill. And fancy QQ number also can be a great trap where loads of people throw their money in. MSN, instead of being popular as QQ in China, is a software commonly used internationally. It provides great conveniency and tidy simple display. You can put your own photo on at the very beginning. And MSN space, a personal webpage, is really stunning comparing with the QQ space, which regarded by me as disgusting. most of MSN services are free, so you dont have to hang online for a god-damned long time to enhance your level to SUN, or pay some money to put your photo on, or spend more money on food then you do to yourself to raise your QQ pet. Lack of pet naturally avoids the danger of luring people to feed one! Good privacy is secured by MSN as well. You can never search a person by his or her profile, except when he or she is willing to be found and put their profile on the friends or dating systems. MSN talking display supports background image and intimate stuff like that. Though MSN doesnt enable you to leave messages online, the email box has well compensated the flaw. A Comparison Between Rail Travel in Britain and ChinaHaving flown into Hong Kong on my way back from London this time, it seemed a perfectly natural choice to take the train back to Beijing. The romantic associations with train travel are obvious. The Widescreen entertainment on either side, the sound of the clickety click (somehow able to summon excitement or drowsiness, whichever required), the pleasure of strolling between carriagesall define the appeal of a means of conveyance barely 150 years old yet very close to the human heart.1And it is largely for romantic reasons that people still use trains in my country.Certainly, it is not for reasons of economy. A second-class return ticket from my hometown, Cardiff2, to London could cost more than 1500 RMB. The distance is less than 250 kilometres. And although Britain isnt actually large enough for such a journey, if, as on my Hong Kong trip, I were to spend twenty four hours in the sleeping carriage of a British train, it could cost me almost ten times as much.Train enthusiasts will be able to enjoy substantial discounts through knowledge of the network and through booking well in advance.3 But in almost all cases, the coach4 is cheaper. And, even with high fuel prices, driving along the motorway is the obvious choice for most Britons. The same situation has been true in the US for an even longer time. Both countries have privatized (私有化) rail systems in contrast to Chinas rail network which is state-owned. Settling in for a long distance train journey in China is a very special experience for the international traveler. Because of the layout(布局、安排) of the carriage, it is inevitable that one finds oneself communicating with a strangerprobably before the train has even moved. And if not quite a celebration, there in nonetheless an atmosphere of Chinese people enjoying pleasures savoured7 specifically for this context. Instant noodles are very much part of the ritual8 of the railway. For groups of male travelers, there is Bai Jiu9. And the breaking open of sunflower or melon seeds, while providing no hindrance to conversation, helps, somehow, in breaking down the hours.10 Perhaps because of the motion of the train, playing-cards lend themselves better to such journeys than Chess or Ma Jiang. All are mere props (道具) for social enjoyment.Consuming Fresh Foods Instead of Canned FoodsEating is an activity that we as humans do at least two times a day. We live in a world where the variety of food is immense, and we are responsible for what we eat. We decide what we are about to eat and how it will affect our bodies. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the differences between eating fresh foods instead of canned foods. The three main differences are flavor, health benefits, and cost. The most notable difference between these two kinds of foods is their flavor. Fresh foods have great flavor and taste because they keep all their natural conditions. Canned foods however, lack a lot of its flavor characteristics because there are some other chemical products added to the natural foods. It is logical that the fresh foods will have a greater taste and flavor when consumed just because of the time in which they have been prepared. Comparing both types of foods, we notice another difference. There is a health factor that affects both of them. Canned foods lose some of the original fresh food nutrients when stored, and also it has to be tinned with many conservatives and chemical factors that prolong the shelf life and apparent freshness of the food but could also become toxic if consumed too often.Yet another difference between these two types of foods is the cost. Canned foods are much more expensive than fresh foods. Here the benefit of buying tinned foods is that they are easier to find, for example, in a supermarket instead of the market like the fresh foods, and they require less work to prepare than fresh foods, just open and serve. Here are the main three differences between buying fresh foods and buying canned foods. As we can see, it comes down to a personal choice, based on the time each person has, the money and the importance he/she gives to his/her nutrition and health. Therefore it is important that you consider your possibilities and choose the best type of foods for your convenience and lifestyle. City Life Compared with Rural Life It is really hard to say which is better than the other, city life or rural life. Both have its merit and shortcoming. Living in the city has a great many advantages. First, you can enjoy various kinds of foods, both foreign and domestic. Second, there are more cultural activities in the city-you can go to the concert, the theatre, the movies or the disco club after a days hard work. But city lite has many problems, too. The overcrowded population, traffic jam, industrial pollution, and the lack of understanding between people may result in disease and unhappiness. Living in the coun
