Whyweusuallymakesuchamistakeandevenmoremistakes?Activistssayitisbecauseofmoneyitself.Theythinkmoneyhaschangedmanythings.Forexample,theythinkmoneyhaschangedourwaytomeasuresomeonesvalueinthesociety.Theyevenregardmoneyasthesourceofevil.Also,theyhatemoney,buttheyarewrong,pletelywrong. Inmyopinion,itisunfairtomoney.Moneyisatool.Well,theresnodenyingthatwedosomethingharmfulwithmoney.Butwecantsaymoneyisthesourceofevil.Justlikeahammer,wecanuseahammertokillsomeone,butcanwesayahammerisadevil?Itisthesamewithmoney. Moneyisneithergoodnorbaditself.Itisamirror,aperfectandimportantmirror,andamirrorthatreflectsboththedarkneandthebrillianceofhumanity.Inotherwords,alldependonus. WehavealsoetothishallowedspottoremindAmericaofthefierceurgencyofNow.Thisisnotimetoengageintheluxuryofcoolingoffortotakethetranquilizingdrugofgradualism.Nowisthetimetomakerealthepromisesofdemocracy.Nowisthetimetorisefromthedarkanddesolatevalleyofsegregationtothesunlitpathofracialjustice.Nowisthetimetoliftournationfromthequicksandsofracialinjusticetothesolidrockofbrotherhood.NowisthetimetomakejusticearealityforallofGodschildren. Itwouldbefatalforthenationtooverlooktheurgencyofthemoment.ThisswelteringsummeroftheNegroslegitimatediscontentwillnotpauntilthereisaninvigoratingautumnoffreedomandequality.Nieensixty-threeisnotanend,butabeginning.AndthosewhohopethattheNegroneededtoblowoffsteamandwillnowbecontentwillhavearudeawakeningifthenationreturnstobusineasusual.AndtherewillbeneitherrestnortranquilityinAmericauntiltheNegroisgrantedhiscitizenshiprights.Thewhirlwindsofrevoltwillcontinuetoshakethefoundationsofournationuntilthebrightdayofjusticeemerges.
