Unit 9 What does he look like Section A (1a-2c)教学设计【教学目标】1、知识目标:(1)词汇:名词:hair, height, build 形容词:short , tall, curly, straight, thin, heavy(2)短语:straight/curly/short/ long hair, of mediumbuild / height, look like(3)句型:What does he /shee look like? He /she has/ is (4)语法:用于广泛描述的形容词 。能力目标:1、用英语对人物的外貌特点进行描述,听懂明白如何友好的描述别人的外貌。 2、灵活运用本单元的语法,结合实际生活运用这些短语,提高写作水平。情感目标:通过描述他人的外貌,表达自己的看法,让学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人,学会交换不同的看法,切不可以貌取人。【重点难点】掌握下列词汇及句型:tall, short, of medium height -身高特征thin, heavy, of medium build-体型特征short / curly / long/ straight / black hair -发型特征What does he /shee look like? He /she has/ is 学会主语+ be+adj与主语 havs/ has + n 句型是本课的难点。【教学方法】利用真实人物与多媒体课件开展小组合作学习。【课时安排】1课时【教辅手段】多媒体课件【教学过程】 Step Lead-in Ask three different students in hairstyle, height and build to stand in front of the class.T:Theyre different, yes? What does he / she look like? Let the studentswatch carefully. Lead the students to answer the question and write down on the blackboard :He / She has short / long / curly/ straight hair . He / She is tall / short / of medium build/ height. Let the students practice the sentences on the blackboard. Ss: Answer ths question with the help of the teaacher .【设计思路】 以本班同学的外貌特征入手导入新课,同学之间很熟悉,敢于大胆发言,以此活跃了课堂氛围,引导学生积极大胆的表达自己的观点。通过读板书的句型,为下一步的对话做好有力的铺垫。Step Practice Show some pictures .T:What does he / she look like?Ss: He /She has long /short / straight / curly hair. He /She is shert / tall / of medium height / of bedium build .【设计思路】通过八组图片的机械性操练,利用师生互动与生生互动,让学生充分掌握本节课的重点难点,学会从体型、身高、及发型三方面描述他人的外貌特征。Step DrillT: Look at your beautiful teachers . What do they look like? Now discuss in groups of four.T: What does Miss Li look like ?S1: T: What does Miss Ren look like ?S2:T: What does Miss Jiang look like ?S3:Then the students work in pairs and act out.【设计思路】让学生小组合作通过对很熟悉的科任教师及班内好朋友的外貌描述,而过度到有意义性操练,查看学生对所学知识的运用熟练程度。Step Listening practiceT: Your description is very good. Please turn to Page 49 . Lets practice listening .1b T:Watch the video and find out Amys friend .T: What does he look like ?Ss: Hes really tall . He has curly hair .2a Ss:Read the three questions and listen to the tape , write down the answers . Check them with students.2b Ss:Listen and fill in the chart . Check together.2c T: Give a modle . What does David look like ? He is heavy and tall . He has curly hair . Ss: work in pairs and act them out .【设计思路】让学生通过看动画视频,根据人物的外貌特征,找到Amy的朋友,然后让学生复数他长什么样(tall,curly)。通过听2a ,让学生了解选择疑问句。听2b,再次查看学生对人物外貌特征的掌握情况,通过对表格的复数又一次训练了学生的口语表达。Step DiscussionT: Give a photo of Jims family. Ask the students to discuss what they look like in groups.Ss : W ork in pairs .【设计思路】通过小组讨论全家福中各个人物特点,完成表格,为下一步的写作进行铺垫。Step Writing 1, Ss :Fill in the chart by themselves first.
