8A Unit4 Do it yourselfTask镇江丹徒石马中学 金典212113教材简解本课是一篇关于DIY工作的日记,描写了Suzy如何给她妈妈做生日卡片的情景。同时也描写了在做卡片过程中出现的一些问题以及她的心情。符合生活实际,简单易懂,操作起来也较为简单。Task这部分内容所要达到的目标是写的任务。在设计这一教学内容时,我充分利用各种资源,旨在通过本课的学习使学生不仅学会做卡片的英语表达方法,更学会了如何自如的运用。使学生养成良好的学习习惯和有效的学习策略。本课注重基础知识的学习和听、说、读、写技能的培养,让学生通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式完成学习任务,感受成功,形成积极的学习态度。目标预设1. 知识目标学习单词:secret,wrong,spell,ballon,stick,cover,complete,paint学习词组:keep it secret,plan to do sth,have fun doing,go wrong,spell the words wrong,cut out学习句型:Idecided to make her a birthday card by myself. I made some mistakes when I wrote teh sentences”Happy Birthday, Mum”. I kept spelling the words wrong.2.技能目标a.培养学生的语篇意识。b.学习如何写日记,包括段落分布、句子衔接等。c.学会围绕本单元话题,写一篇关于自己DIY的日记。3.情感目标a.培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣。b培养学生的动手能力。重点、难点学会围绕本单元话题,写一篇关于DIY的日记。设计理念1. 现代的英语教学注重培养学生的兴趣,这就要求本课的设计行之有效和富于独创性,以极大地刺激学生的学习情绪,满足他们的学习欲求,形成师生之间和谐愉悦的课堂氛围。2. 英语课堂教学活动必须有计划,有目的,有一定的目标。因此,课堂教学活动的设计要紧紧地围绕本节课的教学目的和教学内容而进行。3. 为了切实提高英语课堂教学的效率,真正变讲授型课堂为交际型课堂,变知识型课堂为言语型课堂,就要在英语课堂中设法营造“真实的”、“生活化”的言语环境。设置有意义的语言情景,安排各类课堂教学活动,把生活中的某些要素“引入”课堂,从而实现课堂内与课堂外的沟通,变课堂为言语交际的场景和处所。设计思路本课主要谈论生日卡片的制作过程,通过多媒体课件为学生创设更多的语言环境,激发学生主动参与的欲望。在课堂教学中巧妙的运用教学艺术,安排学生小组活动讨论自己制作卡片的过程,使学生在轻松愉快的环境中实现更多的信息交流,让学生在交流中学,在交流中练,从而有效的提高课堂效率,达到事半功倍的效果。主要的课堂步骤:复习导入讨论听力阅读思考总结写作作业。教学思路Step1:Revision1. We have learnt a lot about Suzys cousin, Andrew.He loves DIY. But is he good at it? What happens everytime he does DIY?2. Are you good at DIY? What did you do? Some students may say:paper flowers,cards,paper planes. (设计理念:复习reading部分的内容,问学生是否做过一些DIY的工作,借此来导入本课的内容。)Step2:Free talk1. When the students say cards.The teacher asks”How do you make the cards”? And ask them what tools we need to make cards.(To revise tools)2. Give some pictures and sentences to let students talk abuot how to make cards.(设计理念:复习DIY所需要的工具,通过讨论如何做卡片来吸引学生主动参与,积极思索,培养小组合作学习的能力。激发学生表现欲,活跃课堂气氛。)Step3:Presentation1. Now do you know how to make cards? You can makes cards by yourself to send others as a birthday present2. We know Suzy is good at DIY. Her mothers birthday is coming. Do you know what she decided to give her mother? Did she do some DIY?Listen to her diary entry and find out what she did for her mother3.Read her diary entry carefully and find out the answers to these questions.1)Why didnt Suzy make the card at home?2) Did Sandy help?3) How long did Suzy and Sandy spend making it?4) What mistakes did Suzy keep making when working on it?5) What colour did she use for the roses?6) Did they make a mess in the house?(To train how to search for information?)3. Do you think Suzys mother like it or not?(To make students know DIY can let people feel happy and get love from others.)(设计理念:通过听、读步骤训练学生从文章中获取信息的能力。也让学生体会到DIY的乐趣。)Step4:Practice1.Repeat after the tape sentence by sentence.2.Let students tell what each paragraph is about after reading. Paragraph 1: The reason why Suzy made a birthday card.Paragraph 2: How she made the card.Paragraph 3: What happened in the end.Paragraph 4: Suzys hope.(设计理念:学生总结文章的段落内容。此步骤的主要目的对学生再次进行语言输入,并使其了解作文的各个组成部分,为学生最终完成自己的文章搭建“脚手架”。)Step5:Writing1.Write your own diary entry about one of the DIY jobs you did. Use the diary entry in Part A as a model. The ideas below may follow you.Making your mum/dad a cardPainting a roomFixing a bicycleMaking things from old clothesMaking biscuits, cakes or a pizzaRepairing a computerPutting together a piece of furniture(设计理念:写是语言输出的又一种形式。它能全面检验和衡量学生的英语运用能力。而利用课文教学进行写作训练效果十分明显。训练的形式多种多样,可以指导学生仿写、缩写、续写、改编等。)2.After writing, ask them to chech their article in groups and give the points(设计理念:学生遣词造句的能力和方式各有差异,在小组交流过程中学生之间互相帮助,互为“支架”,这样的活动方式对于提高学生的遣词造句能力效果极为显著。)3.Ask the reporters of each group read their diary entry before the whole class.Sample writingSaturday, 30 OctoberFathers birthday is coming, so I decided to put up a bookshelf for my father because he loves reading and has many books.I ordered the building materials online. My best friend Daniel came to help me and brought some tools. We read the instructions first and quickly started to work. I had a little trouble using the hammer.
