Learn how to change direct speech into indirect speech in different tenses. 3. Learn to use indirect speech in statements, questions and imperative sentences.Teaching important points: The changes the student should pay attention to when they change direct speech into reported speech.Teaching difficult points: Pay attention to the changes in sentence structures, personal pronouns, tenses, adverbials of time and place and so on.Teaching methods: Explaining and practicing.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Lead-in T: Sometimes wed like to report what someone else said to others, what should we do? Ss: T: OK, it doesnt matter. Well deal with the problem in this period, so well learn something about direct speech and reported speech. T: Now, lets look at the two pairs of sentences, and tell me the differences between them.Step 2 Explanation T: When we change the direct speech into reported speech, what should we pay attention to? Ss: We should pay attention to personal pronouns and tenses.
