Unit4 Lets Paint Textbook: PEP (Grade 3A) Background Information （背景知识）Students are in the first term of Grade 3. In Unit 1, they have learned how to greet with others. They have learned English not very long time, so we must make the class interesting to develop students enthusiasm for learning English. We can design more activities and stick to the principle from easy points to difficult points. Teaching Contents（教学内容）1. Words: red， green，purple.2Key sentence patterns: What color is it? Its red/green/purple. I like red/green/purple. Teaching aims:（教学目标）1. Knowledge aims（知识目标）a、Help students understand three new words about colors :Red, green, purple.b、 Learn to use the sentences: What colour is it? Its red/green/purple. I like red/green/purple.2. Ability aims（能力目标）a、Develop students practical ability by the part of Lets Paint .b、Students ability of listening, reading and speaking can be improved with the help of English chant.3. Emotion aims（情感目标）Students are taught to learn English from the life, apply the English words and patterns to the communication. They will feel the joy of English learning if they can communicate in English well. The successful experience arouses their interests in English learning. Teaching Focuses(教学重点)1. Use words correctly and learn to listen, say and read.2. Use words & sentence patterns to communicate with classmates. Teaching Difficulties（教学难点）1. Read and write these words correctly.2. the words pronunciation. Teaching Aids（教学工具）ppt，crayons， picture. Teaching procedure （教学过程）Step1 warming up.Greeting. (Help students review the way of greeting that they learned last week.)T: Good morning /afternoon/ boys and girls. How are you? Ss: I am fine, thank you. How are you?T: Im fine, too. Thanks.Step 2: Presentation（呈现）1. Show students a piece of paper and ask students “can you guess what I drew on this piece of paper?” After students guess, show the picture to students. “Wow! Look ,its a beautiful rainbow. The rainbow is colorful, right? This class we will talk something about colors ”.2. CAI shows a picture of a red apple. Ask students “what color is it?” Lead in the new word red. Write it on the blackboard and teach students to read it three times. Present other words like this one by one. Then, ask students read the following chant together.Red, red, the apple is red.Green, green, green, the tree is green.Purple, purple, the flower is purple.3. Teacher draws a smiling face next to purple and says “I like purple, Do you like purple, SA” SA: Yes. / No, I likeT teaches students to read the sentence “I like” , encourage students to say colors they like.Step 3: Practice（练习）1. Teacher takes out red, green, purple crayons. Get students to distinguish their colors. Teacher asks “what color is it?” Students answer “its red/green/purple”.2. Give crayons to students and ask them practice in pairs.3. Lets Paint.Show students three pictures: an apple, a tree, a flower. Put them on the blackboard.T: Now, I have three pictures, but I dont know what colors I should paint.
