Explainit可以作为代词使用：（1）指事物：作为人称代词，it可以指代除人以外的一切事物或动物。如：I dropped my watch and it broke. 我把手表掉在地上摔坏了。Where is the dog? Its in the bedroom. 狗在哪？它在卧室里。 作为非人称代词，it常指代时间、日期、天气和距离，例如： Whats the time? Its 6 oclock. 几点了？六点钟了。（2）指人物：it指人主要用于指性别不明的婴儿或用于确认某人的身份。如：Is it a boy or a girl? 是男孩还是女孩?There is a knock on the door. It must be the postman. 有人在敲门，一定是邮递员。（3）指活动：it可以指代前文提到的场景、事件或思想。例如： Many travellers like to ride bikes around the country side. They think it is great fun.许多游客喜欢在乡间骑自行车游玩，他们认为这很有乐趣。Step 3.Presentation1 .Get the Ss to read the explaination and example sentnces. 2 .Explain the content of the exercises .3 .Get the Ss to rewrite the sentences . 4 .Check the answers .5 .Explain the difficulties .it作形式主语或形式宾语的用法：（1）当不定式、动名词、从句等复杂成分用作句子主语时，为保持句子平衡，通常把真正的主语放在句末，而在句首使用形式主语it。如：Its very important to remember this. 记住这一点很重要。Its unknown when he will come. 他什么时候来还不知道。it用作形式主语的的重要句型常有：(a) It + be + adj. +for (of) sb to do sth 某人做某事 例如：It was foolish of her to say such a thing. 她说那样的话，真是太蠢了。 (b) It takes sb + 时间段（或多少钱）+ to do sth. 某人做某事花了时间（或钱）例如：It takes him over five years to master English. 花了他五年多时间才精通英语。 (c) It is said / reported that +句子 据说/据报道 例如：It is said that he has arrived in Beijing. 据说他已经到了北京。 (d) It seems that +句子 似乎 例如：It seemed that the environment is getting worse. 似乎环境正变得越来越糟。 （2）当不定式、动名词、从句等复杂成分用作宾语且其后跟有宾语补足语时，通常会在宾语补足语前使用形式宾语，而将真正的宾语移至句末。其基本结构为“动词+it+宾语补足语+不定式(动名词或从句)”。如：We think it no use complaining. 我们认为抱怨是没有用的。it用作形式宾语的特殊结构，常见的有：主语+think/find+ it + adj. + to do sth. 某人认为/发现做某事，例如： We all find it great to be able to visit that exciting theme park. 我们都发现能去那座主题公园去玩很棒。Step 4 Practice翻译句子，说出it的用法1 Where is my watch?
