Warm-up and Lead-in1.Greet students and make a self-introduction, ask them some questions to make friends with them.Hello. Im Miss Xia. Whats your name?How are you? Hows the weather?Nice to meet you. Encourage students to use: Nice to meet you, too.2.Then ask a student about his or her name and make him or her to turn around to face the other students. Introduce him or her by using: This is _ . Hes my friend. Shes my friend.3. Point to some students and introduce them to the whole class. Have some students try to introduce me to the whole class. Step2. Presentation1. Ask them about the time. Show that its time for lunch.Its eleven oclock. Are you hungry? Are you ready for lunch?Hold up and name flashcards of breakfast,lunch,dinner,a snack one by one. Students repeat.2.Look at the picture of different times and choose the right words for each time. For example: 7:00 breakfast 12:00 lunch After they know three meals a day, have them use the words to finish the sentence Are you ready for_ ? 3. Ask them to look at the pictures about food. Ask them to choose some to eat for lunch.Food items: bread,milk,rice,noodles,icecream,fruit,soup. Show them the flashcards of words they dont know. 4. Ask some students to hold up the flashcards and ask them to pass some cards you need. Say: Pass the rice, please. Pass the fruit, please. Explain the word: pass. And encourage them to use: Here you are.5. Ask them to open their books and turn to pages 28-29. Play the tape. Students listen and point to the items and dialogs as they hear them. Rewind the tape and play it again. Students listen and say the food items and names of meals. Step3. Practice 1. Ask them to read the words group by group. Hold up the flashcards in random order and ask them to say the words loudly.2. Ask them to practice the dialogs with their partners. Have some pairs to read the dialogs and check their pronunciation.3. Ask them to do some exercises on the pictures to solidate what they have learned and check their answers as a whole class.Step4. Wrap-up1.Play a game. Prepare some pieces of paper with times on them. Ask some students to come to the front and choose one.2.Ask other students to guess by us
