On the Eve, they often stay up late and have a get-together banquet. On the first day of the new year, everybody wears new clothes and greet each other Children receive lucky money from their elders. Christmas Day is the most important festival in Western country. People often celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on the twenty fifth of December. Before Christmas, people decorate their houses and place coloured lights. Shop windows are decorated with many Christmas trees. At one oclock in the afternoon, the family enjoy the Christmas dinner happpily.
