Once you are in the habit of rushing through life, being on the 41 from morning till night, it is hard to slow down. But relaxation is 42 for a healthy mind and body. Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it. In fact, it is not the bad thing as often 43 to be. A certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life. It is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor 44 and ill health. The amount of stress a person can stand depends very much on the individual. Some people are not afraid of stress, and such characters are obviously prime 45 for managerial responsibilities; others lose heart at the first sign of unusual difficulties. When 46 to stress, in whatever form, we react both chemically and physically. In fact we make choice between “flight or fight” and in more primitive (远古的) days the choices made the difference between life or death. The 47 we meet today are unlikely to be so extreme, but however little the stress, it 48 the same response. It is when such a reaction lasts long, through continued exposure to stress, that health becomes 49 . Since we cant remove stress from our lives (it would be unwise to do so even if we could), we need to find ways to deal with it. 完形填空:In all ones lifetime, it is oneself that one spends the most time being with or dealing with. _50 it is exactly oneself that one has the least understanding of.When you are going 51 in life, you tend to overestimate yourself. Faced with a challenging job market, former Cambridge students Ed Moyse and Ross Harper are painting different company logos on to their faces.Anyone can buy the advertising space, from businesses to individuals or groups, on a day-to-day basis. The logos - which can be viewed at www.buymyface.co.uk - are then seen by everyone they pass as they go about their daily business. The graduates, who met on their first day at Selwyn College, Cambridge, started the business on October 1 and said they made 3,500 in the first 10 days. The boys said they are “armed only with massive student debt and a firm grasp of the principles of viral advertising” as they attempt to survive for a year merely on income earned by transforming themselves into walking advertisements.Mr. Harper, 21, from Greenwich, south London, who studied neuroscience, said, “Its our untraditional way of paying off our student debt. The graduate job market is incredibly unfriendly, and so we thought wed try and go through it altogether. Weve seen so many students unsuccessfully applying for jobs, only to eventually settle in a career that they never really wanted. Its just something a bit different and has taken off quite nicely.” Mr. Moyse, 22, from Poole, Dorset, said, “It is well beyond our expectations, but we always knew it had value and is novel and crazy.”“So far, one of the main contributors has been online betting agency, Paddy Power, ”Mr. Harper said.Mr. Moyse, who studied economics, and Mr. Harper came up with the idea after graduating in the summer as a scheme that would not require much investment.65The two graduates set up a business of selling advertising space on their faces because _.A. they both have handsome facesB. they have gained best educationC. they have student loan to repay D. they can possibly find no jobs 66. To help students acquire some latest information about the swimming pools.( C )With the emergence of the technological age, it has become increasingly difficult to be a knowledgeable person: There is just too much information to know something about everything. So what should an educated person be in the twenty-first century? It isnt always clear whether one should try to become a specialist or a generalist in todays world. In the 1960s, most American colleges and universities offered a generalist approach to education. In response to student protests, universities began offering many innovative courses, such as Asian Studies and African Studies. Students began “doing their own thing,” taking courses in just about every subject imaginable. But as university students began to focus on more and more of these less common subject areas, critics began to air their opinions. They believed that much of education had become useless. Employers also began to make comment about the quality of college graduates, saying that as jacks-of-all-trades, they could “function” in most areas of life but might never “expert” in any. As a result, the college degree of the 1960s was looked down on by many. From the 1970s through the 1990s, with new technologies creating new job opportunities, an emphasis on specialization appeared in American education. More vocational courses were offered in colleges and universities, especially as computer-programming jobs became available. Many more business schools were established, allowing more and more graduates to enter fields that offered specialized jobs with high salaries, such as investment banking and stock trading. But with the media coverage of the crimes committed by insider-information spreader on Wall Street, even the reputation of the MBA degree was soiled. The more narrowly focused approach to professional education also seemed to fail. One of the puzzles of the twenty-first century is whether to approach modern education in terms of the generalist or the specialist. Some universities require all students to take common courses from a broad range of subjects, appealing to the generalist approach to education. Yet choosing the core courses in light of todays explosion in information and multicultural student populations has not been an easy task. How does one select what it is that everyone should know? Other universities continue to tailor their courses to the more immediate professional needs of their students, appealing to the specialist approach to education. But without a core curriculum(核心课程), students often lack the shared knowledge necessary to participate effectively in an integrated(综合的)society. 72.In the 1960s, the college degree was viewed as nonsense because _. A. students did their own things without care about realityB. too general an approach failed to meet social expectationsC. some innovative courses focused on too neglected subjects D. the generalist approach was adopted in most US universities 73.The crime on the Wall Street is mentioned in the passage in order to prove _.A. specialists with high salaries took risks B. the MBA degree was not worthy of its name C. specialist approach to education was far from perfect D. jobs like computer-programming were more practicable 74.The authors attitude toward the college education in the 21st century is _.A. positive B. negative C. neutral D. ironic(讽刺的) 75.What might be the best title for this passage?A. History of College Educational Approaches B. College Preparatory Education for the Changing World C. Generalization or Specialization, A Hard Choice for Universities D. Difference Between Generalist Education and Specialist Education 选标题: A. Time travel experiences in historyB. Scientific possibility of time travelC. An experiment on Einsteins theoryD. Possibility in building a time machineE. Problems brought about by time travel F. Einsteins theory of relativity concerning timeTime Machine76. You cannot change the laws of physics, but could physics actually enable us to travel through time? It might sound crazy, but according to Einsteins theories, theres no logical reason why time travel isnt possible and there are now scientists looking into it as a serious scientific proposal, at least at a theoretical level.77. Put simply, Einsteins idea was that every object in the universe has its own “time”, and these vary as objects move. The faster an object moves, the slower its time is, compared to the time of a slower moving object. The extreme situation would be if an object could move as fast as the speed of light, its time would be completely stopped. But whatever an object - or persons - time is, its only evident in contrast to other objects. In other words, theyre all relative.78. In 1971, after Einsteins death, two scientists were able to carry out a crucial experiment. They used two atomic clocks, synchronized them and placed one on a plane, while the other stayed in the same location on Earth. The plane then flew around the world for 80 hours. According to Einsteins theory, the clock on the plane would be expected to have lost ti
