To master the words: goldfish, wife, net, whatever, God, grey, marry, ours.2. Warm-upFree talk: (1) Show the pictures of a stage play at school.(2) Ask and answer: Have you ever acted in a class or school play? Step 2. Presentation1. Show the picture of The Fisherman and the Goldfish. To elicit the new words “goldfish” and “fisherman”.2. Free talk: Have you read the story The Fisherman and the Goldfish?3. Introduce the writer of the story.4. Explain the new words.5. Listen the story and tell us what happened.6. Read the lesson and number the sentences in the correct order. (1) The fisherman told his wife about catching a goldfish.(2) A poor fisherman with a hat went out fishing.(3) The wife wanted the fisherman to ask for a new house.(4) The fisherman let the talking fish go.(5) The fisherman caught a talking fish.7. Explain the language points:lead 在本句中的意思是“度过（时间、生活），也可换用live。The old man lives/leads a quiet/happy/full/miserable life.那位老人过着宁静（幸福、充实、悲惨）的生活。lead还有“领导；带领；通向”的意思。She leads the people to victory.他领导人们走向胜利。Our headteacher leads the discussion.我们班主任主持讨论。Mr. Gao leads a football team.高老师带领一支足球队。This road leads to the library.这条路通向图书馆。wish表示“希望；想要；祝愿”，后面可跟直接宾语、双宾语或宾语从句。Do you wish another cup of juice?你还想喝杯果汁吗？He wishes to do well in English.我希望学好英语。Wish you happy new year!祝你新年快乐！wish, hope的区别(1)hope和wish后都不能接动名词，但可以接不定式，意为“想，希望”。(2)wish可用于wish sb. to do sth.结构，hope则不能用于此结构。(3)wish后可以跟双宾语，用来表示祝愿，但hope不能这样用。(4)hope和wish都可以接从句。hope接从句表示“希望”，wish接从句所表达的内容通常是不可能实现的愿望，从句要用虚拟语气。ask for后接物时，意思是“要求得到某物”；接人时；意思是“要求见到某人”。I will ask for a pen next time. 下次我要一支钢笔。He is asking for his sister. 他想见他的姐姐。marry这里是及物动词，表达“嫁；娶；结婚”的意思。He married an American girl last month.他上个月娶了一个美国女孩。The girl married a teacher.女孩儿嫁给了一位老师。Step 3.
