Do not lean forward or back!l Always ensure that you are standing firmly and only use the chain saw when you are standing on stable, firm and level ground. A slippery subsurface or instable standing area such as on a ladder can cause you to lose your balance or lose control over the chain saw.l Do not stretch your arms too far forwards.l Never work on ladders, on trees or in other positions in which you cannot stand safely.l Take care when walking backwards. Danger of stumbling!l Always saw at a high chain speed.l Do not saw any wood which is under tension.l Do not work alone! Ensure that you have an aural, visual or other connection with another person who is in a position to administer first aid in emergency situations.l When putting the device sown, the motor must always be switched off!l With each change of location, switch the motor off and activate the chain brake. The device may only be carried with the saw rail facing towards the back and a protective cover on.l Protect the device against hard shocks! Do not let it fall! If the device has been subjected to shocks, check immediately whether fuel is leaking (danger of fire and explosion!).l Keep the hot motor of the device away from everything which is flammable, e/g. dry grass, plastics.l Only use the prescribed fuel-oil mixture(usable fuel-oil mixture-p.97)l Symbols appearing on your product may not be removed or covered. Information on the product that are no longer legible must be replaced immediately. Be careful when handling the device! Observe all safety instructions in the instructions for use!Read and observe the operating instructions before commissioning.Wear goggles, ear protection and a safety helmet! Before any maintenance work, pull out the ignition cable and read the usage instructions. The single-hand operated chain saw C-BKS 25,4-30 is only designed to be used by appropriately trained specialists.Personal protective equipment/sensible clothingWhen cutting, wear the following protective equipment: Head protection: safety helmet with visorEar protection: earplugs/ear muffs according to DIN EN 352-1Eye protection: wrap-around goggles/protective visor on the helmetFoot protection: safety shoes with gripping soles, steel caps and leg protectionHand protection: work gloves of leatherClothing: safety overalls (cut-proof)Safety jacket (cut-proof)Avoid with your clothing that you get caught on something:Wear only close-fitting clothing!Do not wear any jewellery! If you have long hair, wear a hair net!Your device at a glancep.2, item 11. Protective gloves must be worn for all work on the chain.Risk of injury! An improperly mounted saw chain causes uncontrolled cutting behaviour of the device! When assembling the chain, heed the prescribed running direction!Device damage!Make sure that when you purchase it, the device contains neither the fuel-oil mixture nor oil for the saw chain. Before commissioning the device, fill up the fuel-oil mixture and saw chain oil(technical data -p.96).Installing the saw rail and sawing chainP.3, item2-release the chain brake(10)move the hand guard back and engage it).Unscrew the fixing nut(12) and remove the chain wheel guard.P.3, item 3-place the sawing chain onto the chain wheel. Pay attention to the chain correct direction of rotation: the direction in which the arrow points on the chain must match the direction marked on the chain wheel.P.3, item 4Attach the saw rail and push it towards the chain wheel.Insert the sawing chain into the guiding groove of the saw rail.Route the sawing chain around the saw rail.Ensure the correct location inside the guiding groove.Attach the chain wheel cover. The chain dowel spin must engage in he hole of the saw rail.Tighten the fixing nut(12). Only slightly.Tightening the chainP.3, item 5Slightly lift the tip of the saw rail.Check if the sawing chain runs smoothly by turning it manually.Tighten the chain tightening screw(11) clockwise until the chain rests against the bottom side of the saw rail.Tighten the fixing nut(12).Running in the sawing chainNew sawing chain and rails must be re-tightened no later than after the first five cuts. This is normal during the run-in period; the intervals between future re-adjustments will become longer. Filling up the fuel-oil mixture Risk of injury! Fuel is explosive! - before filling up, switch off the motor and let it cool off. - please strictly follow all safety information for handling fuel.Device damage!Only use the prescribed fuel-oil mixture( usable fuel-oil mixture-p.97).Device damage! After filling up the fuel, you should always check whether there is still enough saw chain oil in the saw chain oil tank.P.3, item 6Store the device safely with the tank cover for fuel-oil mixture() facing upwards.Clean the tank cover() and filler neck if necessary.Slowly open and remove the tank cover()Fill up the fuel-oil mixture carefully. Do not spill!Check the seal in the tank cover() for damage and clean if necessary. Replace a damaged seal immediately!Tighten the tank cover() with seal by hand.Wipe up any spilled fuel.Filling up the saw chain oilDanger to the environment!Since the saw chain oil can penetrate the environment during operation, biologically degradable special vegetable-based saw chain oils should be used.P.3, item 6Lay the device securely with the tank cover for saw chain oil() upwards.Clean the tank cover() and filler neck if necessary.Slowly open and remove the tank cover().Carefully fill up the saw chain oil. Do not spill!Check the seal in the tank cover() for damage and clean if necessary. Replace a damaged seal immediately!Tighten the tank cover() with seal by hand.Wipe up any spilled fuel.OperationAttention!Mortal danger!Read and observe the instructions in chapter notes on operation -p.86 before you operate the device.Safety equipmentThe device has several pieces of safety equipment which reduce the risk of injury when workingThrottle blockThe throttle block prevents inadvertent actuation of the throttle. The throttle() can only be actuated if the throttle block() is triggered simultaneously.Chain catcherThe chain catcher serves to catch a torn saw chain or one which has jumped out of the guide. Through regular tensioning of the saw chain, accidents of this type can be prevented.Check before starting!Risk of injury! The device must only be put into operation if no faults are found. If a part is defective, it must absolutely be replaced before the next use.Check the safety equipment and the safe condition of the device. Check all parts to make sure they fit tightly. Check whether there is any leakage. Check whether there are visible defects: broken parts, cracks, etc. Check the device for correct chain tensioning Check the function of the chain brake.Starting the motorDanger of fire!Due to any spilled fuel, the device can catch fire.Wipe any spilled fuel up before starting.Start the device a few metres away from the place where you have filled it.Risk of injury! When starting, the device must be seated quietly and firmly. Never leave the motor on if you still have the device in your hand!Risk of injury! If the chain brake is not active, the saw chain starts up directly after the motor is started. Always check the chain brake before starting the motor(checking the chain brake-p.92)!Device damage!Pull the pull-starter max. 50 cm out and let it run back in slowly by hand.Stand in a secure position.Set the device on the ground so that the saw chain cannot touch anything.Activate the chain brake (snap in the hand guard towards the front).Hold the handle firmly with one hand and press the device on the ground.Motor cold startP.4 item 7- Set ignition switch()to ().- Gently press fuel pump() often enough that no more bubbles are visible(approx. 10 times).- Pull the choke lever() all the way out.- Pull the pull starter() out evenly as far as it will go until you hear a first ignition sound.- Push the choke lever()back in.- Pull the pull starter() out evenly until the motor starts.- Release the chain brake().- Slightly press down on the throttle().Danger of injury! After the machine has started, slightly operate the throttle once to ensure that the motor reaches the correct idling speed an the sawin
