How to read graphs.Teaching processWarming-upGreeting: T: hello everyone.( Show some pictures about New Zealand on PPT)Please look at the pictures on PPT. there are some pictures I want to share with you. The girl in the picture is a friend of mine. Pay attention to the background scenery of her. Can you guess where is she? S: maybe she is in New Zealand. T: yes, you are right. Do you think the scenery behind her is very beautiful? I do think so. She is now studying in New Zealand.( show some more pictures about New Zealand to students) T: these pictures are taken from the internet. Do you want to be there to have a look? Of course, we all want to take a look and I even want to live there. But first of all, we need to know where New Zealand is.(show students a map of New Zealand) T: look at the map. Can you tell me where is New Zealand in English?( one minute for students to organize language. )( ask students to answer the question personally ) S: New Zealand lies to the east of Australia.Step one: Scanning: what do the words refer to?1.
