The analysis of the teaching contentsThe topic of this unit is“Meet my family”.Such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise the students learning interests.Students will learn the new words“parents, baby brother, puppy.”and the new patterns:“How many .are there.?Three, Four.My parents and me.”.II. The analysis of the studentsThe students of Grade4 are active in class, and they are very familiar with the topic .They have learnt some words about family members.They like to display themselves.And also they have taken a great interests in English now.III.Teaching aims1. Knowledge aims:a. To enable the students to understand and say the new words:parent, baby brother,puppy.b. To make the students know how to ask and answer how many people there are in sbs family.2. Ability aims:a. To develop the students abilities of communication by learning the useful words and structures.b. To train the students ability of working in pairs.3. Emotional aims:a. To develop the students consciousness of cooperation.b. Students will love their families.IV.Teaching key points1. Enable students to understand and use the new words.2. Sing the song“Ten Indians” together. 设计意图:爱唱爱跳是孩子的天性,以愉快的歌曲进入数字的复习,让学生以饱满的激情、良好的状态进入新课学习,达到寓教于乐的目的,为课堂活动顺利进行开好头。Step2. Presentation1. Draw an apple tree,then put several apple pictures on it,then ask students:“How many apples are there on the tree?”Show a family photo, and ask :“Do you like your family?I love my family very much.How many people are there in this picture?” Next, ask:“How many people are there in your family?”and “Who are they?”Then, teach the new words“parents, baby brother, puppy”. 设计意图:通过简单的简笔画,可爱的图片,吸引了学生的学习兴趣,调动了课堂气氛,使学生能够充分理解和掌握所呈现的新语言知识,为新内容的学习做铺垫。与此同时,让学生感受到要爱自己的家人,给学生以情感熏陶。2.Ask and answer:- How many are there in your family?- Three, four.My parents, my baby brother. 设计意图:通过你问我答形式引导学生进入新知识的学习,使学生明确本节课的重点。Step3. Practice1. Play a game:Show the “color toy”.Ask students to choose one color they like,and ask them how to spell it.Then,according to the spelling, students answer the questions“How many are there in your family?who are they?” 设计意图:将学生喜欢的游戏,融入课堂中,根据选择颜色单词字母组成个数说出家庭成员。游戏中自然的提炼出重点句型,将课堂与实际生活联系起来,增加了趣味性。2. Make a dialogue:Students make a dialog by themselves using the words and patterns. 设计意图:通过对话激发了学生的热情,给学生提供了运用语言的情境,将课堂真正变成交流的场所。Step4. Consolidation and Extension:1. Group work:Bingo game: Students should finish the form. 4 students in one group.Everyone has a form. Then speak out the form information. 设计意图:以小组调查合作完成表格,促使学生集中精力投入课堂,拓展了课堂,活动难度层层递进,培养了学生合作意识。IX.
