This specification covers the minimum requirements for fans or blowers, their drivers and auxiliaries.1.2. This specification supplements the specification sheets of fan or blowers and drivers on which the operating condition and special requirements are listed in detail. Whenever the data included on the specification sheets conflicts with the provision of this general specification, the former shall govern.1.3. Compliance by the fan or blower manufacturer with the provisions of this specification does not relieve him of the responsibility of furnishing fans or blowers, their drivers and auxiliaries which are properly designed and mechanically suited to meet operating guarantees at the specified service conditions.2.0 SCOPE OF SUPPLYAir fans or blowers shall be furnished suitable for outdoor installation. Each set shall include, but not limited to the following:2.1. Two sets of Fan (Blower) are installed in parallel to operate in turn outside the chamber of the storage tank. They periodically or emergently offer the sufficient air to replace the combustible gas possibly occurred inside the chamber.2.2. Two fans or blowers with motor drivers.2.3. Special tools for installation and maintenance (if required).3.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS3.1. The equipment furnished shall be suitable for outdoor service in chemical plant environment.3.2. All equipment shall be designed for a continuous twenty-four hours per day operating cycle. General ruggedness to insure uninterrupted service is required throughout.3.3. Vendor shall submit drawings and documents as specified herein in the proposal after receipt of purchase order.3.4. Vendors quotation shall include the coats of submission of drawings, data and documents as specified herein.3.5. All vendor drawings, documents, equipment nameplate information and instrumentation scales shall be in English or Chinese and in MKS units, except the nominal pipe (tubing) size and flange size can be British units.4.0 MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS4.1. Fan/blower, driver and all components shall be suitable for continuous full load duty under the specified operating conditions, and any prolonged cold stating condition. All parts of fan or blower driven equipment shall be safe for operation at the maximum load and torque capabilities of the driver. Equipment which must operate at its design limit in order to meet the specification and specification sheets is not acceptable.4.2. Fan or blower shall be constructed to operate safely under design conditions without undue strain, wear, heating or vibration.4.3. Fan or blower and driver shall be mounted in a shock-vibration isolation system.4.4. CasingThe casing of fan or blower shall be designed to withstand continuously the maximum pressure which can be developed by the fan or blower. Adequate provision shall be made in the design to permit proper expansion without distortion or binding, and for all other effects due to the temperature and characteristics of the fluid being compressed.4.5. Shaft and RotorThe shaft of each fan or blower shall be of adequate size and strength to withstand safely and continuously all stresses resulting from the weight to be supported, and from starting (including across the line starting), operating and temperature condition to which it will be subjected. The critical speed of the shaft shall be such as to provide a liberal margin of safety between such speed and the range of operating speeds of fan or blower. Adequate provision shall be made to prevent distortion, binding, excessive leakage or thrust due to either direct or differential expansion of the rotor parts.4.6. Rotating AssemblyThe rotating assembly shall be designed such that the first critical speed is at least 25% of the maximum operating speed. The entire rotating assembly shall be both statically and dynamically balanced.4.7. Bearings4.7.1. Fan or blower shall be equipped with antifriction bearings selected for an average lift of 50,000 hours at design operating conditions. Bearings shall be provided with seals to prevent the entrance of dirt and loss of lubricant.4.7.2. A suitable thrust bearing shall be provided, if required, to locate the shaft longitudinally and to compensate for end thrust under any condition of operation.4.7.3. An adequate and positive system of lubrication shall be provided for all bearings and for gears suitable in every respect for the service and temperatures encountered. Oil reservoirs shall have ample oil holding capacity and shall be equipped with suitable gauge glasses (or with a level mark) and drains.4.8. Inlet FilterA dry-type air inlet filter suitable for outdoor mounting shall be provided by Vendor to prevent foreign matters from entering the fan or blower. This filter shall be designed to be easily disassembled for cleaning.4.9. Electric Motor DriverMotor driver shall comply with Chinese Petroleum Corporation Purchasing Specification and data sheets attached.4.10. NoiseThe noise generated by the rotary machine shall not exceed 85dBA at 1 meter from the machine. Vendor shall verify the noise level of the proposed rotary machine with published documents, and the noise data shall be acquired and recorded during machine mechanical and performance test. If the anticipated noise level of the proposed machine exceeds 85 dBA at 1 meter, Vendor shall furnish within his scope of the supply like the noise reduction appurtenance such as acoustic hood or blanket etc. to reduce the noise level below 85 dBA at 1 meter.4.11. Gear unit, if required, shall comply with the applicable AGMA Standards. Gear service factor shall be 1.5 as a minimum. 4.12. Blower suction and discharge nozzles shall be flanged. The pressure-temperature ratings shall be in accordance with the latest ANSI B16.5 standard and B16.1 standard (unless specified in the data sheets).4.13. Openings for nominal pipe sizes of 1-1/4. 2-1/2, 3-1/3, 5, 7 and 9 inches shall not be used.4.14. Vendor shall recommend materials of construction corrosion protection unless otherwise specified on the specification sheets.4.15. The corrosion allowance of housing shall be 3 mm as a minimum.4.16. All equipment furnished under the specification shall be completely assembled and properly aligned.4.17. Type: Explosion proof motor operated Fan (Blower).4.18. Supply Air Capacity & Operation: At least 100 m3/min. The fan (blower) with motor can be forced to operate any time or periodically and automatically operate 4 (four) times a day and 20 minutes each time.4.19. Hazardous Classification: Located in the Zone 1 Hazardous Area. The structure shall meet the related explosion proof type of Chinese National Standard (CNS), or follow the area classification requirements from NFPA 58, and apply the explosion proof structure according to NEC related codes.4.20. Power Supply: 220VAC, 60HZ.4.21. General Requirement: Shall meet the attached general requirements of the fan (blower) and motor.5.0 SHOP TESTS5.1. Fan or blowers shall be tested in the manufactures shop for capacity and delivery pressure for a minimum period of four hours. Certified performance curves are required.5.2. Unless otherwise specified, the following tests shall be performed for all fans or blowers.A. Hydrostatic test.B. Pneumatic test.C. Performance test.D. Noise level measurement.5.3. Material certificates or mill test reports on main parts of fans or blowers shall be submitted by Vendor.6.0 PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT6.1. The equipment shall be cleaned to remove all mill scale and other foreign material and painted in the manufacturers shop with one primer coat and two finish coats suitable for the operating temperatures to protect the equipment.6.2. The interiors of all equipment shall be free from foreign matter before shipping. Water used for tests shall be drained and dried from the machine.6.3. All openings shall be provided with substantial metal closures. The ends of small piping shall be sealed with plugs.7.0 NAMEPLATES AND ROTATION ARROWS7.1. A stainless steel nameplate securely attached with stainless stall pins an easily accessible place on the equipment shall be furnished. The nameplate
