Opportunities for misinterpretation, error, and self-deception abound. extinguish v. This is a new method of extinguishing forest fires. If good people do nothing there is a real possibility that an uninformed citizenry will extinguish the precious embers of medical progress. Later, this idea became to be known as the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, but this term is somewhat inappropriate. 制止,抑制;place/put a curb on 限/抑制vt. High interest rates put a curb on spending. Curbs on business-method claims would be a dramatic about-face, because it was the federal circuit itself that introduced such patents with its 1998 decision in the so-called State Street Bank case. Thats a lie that we have perpetuated, and it fosters commonness. Professionalism has turned the acquisition of a doctoral degree into a prerequisite for a successful academic career: as late as 1969 a third of American professors did not possess one. Employers wouldnt mind a little fewer bubbles in the job market. 微笑,闪亮 ; sparkle with sth. blueprint n蓝图program; project; planbaseline= the bottom line 底线;最基础的部分;boom n繁荣,隆隆声; vi. 1. fascinate v. I was fascinated by her.
