旅游英语教学大纲一、 教学性质:旅游英语是由高等教育出版社全国发行的大学英语优秀教材,该课程是供高职高专的旅游专业的大一学生第二学期的必修考查课程。二、学时分配:旅游英语是设置于第一学年第二学期,总周数为16周,每周3节,总课时为48节。三、课程基本目的:能读懂语言一般难度题材的文章,学会旅游专业基本的阅读技能、技巧。全面提高学生的听,说,读,写,译的基本技能的培养。使各种语言技能综合发展,相辅相成,互相促进。使学生打下扎实的语言基础,掌握良好的语言学习方法,提高文化素质,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要,进而提高旅游专业学生的综合素质,提高竞争能力,促进学生的就业。四、 教学方法与手段:教学方式是以课堂教学为主。课堂教学不仅要扩大学生的语言知识,加强和提高学生的语言运用能力,还要帮助学生养成良好的学习习惯,培养自学能力,教学中还应正确处理阅读与听、说、读、写、译的关系。开展丰富多彩的英语课外活动,提高学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性。要求学生主动参与,积极实践,不断积累,持之以恒。一 教学要求1) 词汇 领会式掌握2000个单词(其中复用式掌握的单词为1800个),以及由这些词构成的常用词组,并具有按照构词法识别生词的能力。2) 阅读能力能顺利阅读语言难度一般题材的文章,掌握中心大意以及说明中心大意的事实和细节,并能就文章的内容进行分析、推理、判断和综合概括领会作者的观点和态度。阅读速度达到每分钟60词。 3)听的能力 对题材熟悉,句子结构不太复杂、生词少、语速为每分钟80100词的会话、谈话、报道、讲座,能掌握中心大意,抓住要点和细节领会讲话者的观点和态度,并能进行分析、推理和判断。4) 说的能力能就教材内容和一般性的听力材料进行回答,能就一般的社会生活话题进行简单的交谈讨论和发言,表达思想清楚,语音、语调基本正确。5) 写作能力能在阅读难度与课文相仿的书面材料时做笔记、回答问题,能就一定的提纲、表格或图示在半小时内写出80100字的短文。内容完整,条理清楚,文理通顺。6) 译的能力能借助词典将难度略低于课文的英语短文译成汉语,理解正确,译文达意。能借助词典将内容熟悉的汉语文字材料译成英语,译文达意,无重大语言错误。五、 教学内容:旅游英语教材共有10个单元。每个单元由Pre-unit、热身练习、教您做导游、学习助手、巩固您的导游技能和供您参考6部分组成。课文全部选用原文材料,题材多样,内容丰富有趣,有一定的启发性。生词释义采用英汉结合方式。一般情况下,尽可能用英语释义。不太明确的再加注汉语,难以用英语解释清楚的则直接用汉语释义。注释尽量用浅近的英语,主要介绍有关的背景知识,说明一些特殊语言现象,供学生预习时参考。本书主要侧重于学生的实践能力,主要是要让学生掌握一些旅游有关的基本技能和技巧,并进行反复的练习,使学生在学习旅游相关知识的同时又提高了英语水平。课文理解练习要求学生根据课文回答问题,有的则要求学生陈述自己的看法;有条件的班级可用一定的时间在教师引导下进行讨论,以提高学生的听力能力。导游词写作练习不但要练习学生的写作能力还要练习学生的口语表达能力,以提高学生的表达能力。阅读理解练习旨在培养学生的阅读技能,并配有一篇内容与课文相近而难度较浅的阅读材料,希望学生尽量掌握。教师应紧扣技能的培养,不必在语言现象的分析上花太多时间。翻译练习教师要结合本书和本课程的特点,进行有目的、有针对性的练习,这一练习有一定难度,专业性较强,需要有教师予以启发引导。六、 课程考核方式: 旅游英语考核方式为考查。其中平时成绩占40%(包括出勤率、课堂表现、回答问题、作业),期末成绩(写作与实践练习和专业知识考)占60%。七、 每单元具体掌握重点:Chapter 1I. Tips for checking-in service.1.Interpretation must relate the subject to the lives of their visitors.2.Interpretation moves beyond providing information to reveal deeper meaning and truth.3.Interpretation should be designed as a story that informs, enlightens and entertains .4.The purpose of the interpretive story is to inspire and provoke people to broaden their horizons.5.Interpretation should present a theme to the visitor.6.Interpretation should reflect and be pitched at the make up of the visitor group7.Interpretation can bring the past alive and make the future understandable.8.Technology has a place in interpretation but should be used thoughtfully.9.Interpretation must be well researched ,focused and to the point.10.Interpreters must be familiar and demonstrate high level communication skills.11.Interpretive writing is a special art and must address what the visitor wants to know.12.The overall interpretive programmer must attract widespread support from the tourism business.13.Interpretation should provide vision, spiritual uplift and encourage protection of heritage.14.Interpretation can be enhanced through planning design and programming.15.Interpreters need passionfor the feature being interpreted and the visitor.II.
