Teach activity 1a (1) Show some pictures on the big screen to help the students to learn some places ,such as in the library,on the street, in my house, at the bus stop. (2) Ask students to read them together. (3) Tell students to matche with the people in the picture in 1a. 2. Practice the new sentence pattern:(pair work and group work) 1). Ask the students what were they doing when the rainstorm came? 2). Look and say:. A: what were you doing when the rainstorm came? B: I was vingwhen the rainstorm came. 3). Let the students work in pairs and make their own conversations. 3. Teach activity 1b (1) Tell students to read the phrases in 1b. Make sure they know the meaning of the words and sentences. (2) Play the recording for the students to listen and circle the correct response. (3) Play the recording again. Check the answers with the students. (4) Check the answers with the class. 4. Teach activity 1c (1) Let students read the model with their partner.A: what was the girl doing when the rainstorm came? B: she was vingwhen the rainstorm came.(2) Ask students to use the information in 1b. Ask and answer with their partner. (giving pictures) (3) Invite some pairs to act out their conversations. 5. Teach activity 2a (1) Let students look at the pictures below. Explain the activities in the pictures if necessary. (2) Play the recording for the students to listen and number the pictures. (3) Play the recording again to check the answers. 6. Teach activity 2b (1) Let students read the sentences in 2a. (2) Play the recording for the students to write the correct answers in the blanks. (3) Play the recording again to check the answers. 3. Teach activity 2c (1) Tell students to make conversations using the information in 2b. (2) Give a model to the students. (3) Ask students to work in pairs and try to ask and answer. (4) Ask some pairs to act out their conversations.Step 3: Summary : Sentences pattern: -1.
