I am famaliar with “FLTRP” which stands for “Foreign language teaching and researching press”. Also, I am very grateful to FLTRP Cup which helped me improve a lot in English Public Speaking. Prepared Speech: Every contestant will deliver a speech on the given topic “when Socrates Meets Confucius”within three minutes. After the speech, two questions will be raised by the quesiton masters based on the speech. One minute for each question.Chen: 定题演讲：每位选手演讲时间为3分钟，题目为：“When Socrates Meets Confucius”（要求每位选手必须在本题目下加小标题）。回答问题：由提问评委就选手定题演讲内容提两个问题，选手回答时间为每个问题1分钟；Xu:2.Impromptu Speech: Every contestant will have one minute to finish the impromptu speech on the given topic. Chen: 即兴演讲：每位选手演讲时间为一分钟，选手根据选题完成即兴演讲。Xu: 3.The total score is 10. Eliminating the highest score and the lowest score, the average is the final score. The average will be accurate to the second decimal place.Chen: 评委打分，总分为十分，去掉一个最高分一个最低分，取平均分为选手的最后得分，平均分精确到小数点后两位。Xu: 4.All the contestants have to stay here until the end of this contest, or all the qualification and award will be cancelled. As English Writing plays a more important role in international communicating, FLTRP was determined to hold this contest which aims at improving the students writing skills as well as their ability of using English. Xu: Yes, it is the significance of English Writing that gathered us here to witness this Contest for English majors or non-English majors.
