How can the use of private motor vehicles be reduced? These days, there has been much controversy regarding how to reduce the use of private mobile vehicles. Cars may stand for a social status and give a more convenient personal movement. Yet, the increasing number of mobile vehicles can cause some environmental problems. I firmly believe that governments and people should cooperate to deal with these problems.First of all, it is evident that too many cars can lead to a lot of environmental problems and using up of global resources. For instance, most of mobile cars use petrol as their major fuel. Obviously, the more cars are on the streets, the more oils we will use. However, the oil is not a permanent natural resource. Eventually, one day there is no oil we can utilize. Therefore, we should limit the increasing number of cars to postpone the day of no petrol. Secondly, there is no doubt that the mobile vehicles can cause some environmental issues like air pollution. It is irresistible that cars can emit some poisonous substances like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Undoubtedly, these substances will harm our health. There are a number of solutions on hand to combat these problems. For example, I strongly suggest that governments should impose some environmental taxes to control the number of mobile cars, such as congestion charge, air pollution fees, and so on. On the other hand, citizens should consider taking the public transport rather than using their personal vehicles in terms of lower transport expenditure. Furthermore, people should devote themselves to maintaining our environment. Having only one earth, it is significantly more important to save our earth than to have cars to present personal social status.By way of conclusion, I once again reaffirm my position that the government and people should work together to reduce the significant number of the private mobile vehicles to improve the environmental problems we are experiencing. FriendshipFriends play an important part in our lives, and although we may take friendship for granted,we often dont clearly understand how we make friends. While we get on well with a number of people,we are usually friends with only a very few-for example, the average among students is about 6 per person. In all the cases of friendly relationships, two people like one another and enjoy being together.but beyond that, the degree of intimacy between them and the reasons for the shared interests vary enormously. As we get to know people we take into account things like age, race ,economic conditions, social position, and intelligence.Although these factors are not of prime importance,it is more difficult to get on with people when there is a marked difference in age and background. Some friendly relationships can be kept on argument and discussion, but it is usual for close friends to have similar ideas and beliefs,to have attitudes and interests in commen -they often talk about being on the same wavelength .it generally takes time to reach this point. And the more intimately involved people become, the more they rely on one another .people want to do friends favours and hate to break a promise.Equally, friends have to learn to put up with annoying habits and try to tolerate differencesof opinion. In contrast with marriage ,there are no friendship ceremonies to strengthen the association between two persons. But the supporting and understanding of each other that results from shared experiences and emotions does seem to create a powerful bond ,which can overcome differences in background ,and break down barriers of age, class or race. Should Bad Language Be Taught in the English Class Hot controversy has been aroused on the report that at an American spoken English training center for children, students were taught a lot of rude English words. So, Should Bad Language Be Taught in the Class? According to a recent research, 25% of the respondents answer is no, they think that children learn things from elder ones not from ghosts. And if we share bad comments with kids they may think that its a cool medium. But there are 28% ofthe respondentsthink it is just ok, for bad language is definetly part of everyday English andthey think this should be discussed in class. As to me, my answer is absolutely yes! my reasons are as follows:a. we can not say Language is good or bad, we use it just as a tool which we can communicate with other people. In different countries there are different culture,we know that these words in different cultures havent different meanings, so, it can further mutual understanding and communicating. In addition, in some films and novels, some swear wordsappears so frequently, it is necessary for us to learn these words.b.To non-native speakers, they can not really understand how offensive the swear words can be to native speakers. It is the teacher who should explain these words to students. A good teacher who is really suitable for a teaching job should avoid using bad language. He or she could explain to them that using this word can be very inappropiate and they can embarrass themselves by using them. Above all, I do think that bad language should be taught in the English class. Learning bad language doesnt means we will use it everyday, the real purposewe learn it isnot touse it.The Importance of Waste SortingWe often see many beautiful and colorful classification dustbins in the street, which means that people have recognized rubbish is available wealth in the wrong places step by step. As for me, waste sorting can reduce the pollution to the environment and increase the recycling of waste. With the development of economy, a large number of population growths and the increasing of peoples living standard day by day, there is a growing number of rubbish. For one thing, a lot of waste has become a long-standing pollution source to
