Unit4 Whos Got Talent?Period 5 Reading教学设计思路:阅读课往往是学生最头痛的一节课,所以我利用图片和视频,来引起学生的兴趣,同时将学生分成小组,利用学生的好奇心和好胜心,来克服本节课的重点和难点,在这过程中,将学生分组,分层,“以学定教”,让不同层次的学生都参与课堂活动,都有不同的收获。Teaching aims:Knowledge goals:Have the students master the words and phrases:Have in common , all kinds of , be up to, play a role in , winner , prize ,make up , for example , take seriously, give.Ability goals:Improve studentsreading skills.Motional goals:Student should respect other people. Everyone has his merits.Keys points and difficult points: Improve studentsreading skills and master the words and phrases.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Lead-in1) Have students watch a video about Happy boysThen talk about it with students.e g . Who do you like best ? Why? What do you think of the talent shows? .2) Show some pictures about the famous stars , have students describe them using superlatives .e g . show Liu Qians pictureT : What can he do?S : He can change things into different objects.Then lead students to say:He is the most exciting magicians.Show other pictures , Let students describe them using superlatives.(备注:在这个环节中,首先通过观看快乐男声视频导入本节课,来缓解学生对阅读课学习的压力。同时利用明星的图片来进行本课的语法复习,以加深学生对形容词最高级的理解。回答问题环节,我会让C层的学生来作答,让D层的学生跟读或复述。让待优生有一种成就感,增加学习信心。)Step 2 SkimmingFirst ,tell the students that we will learn an article about talent shows , then have them read quickly , and find out:Which three talent shows are mentioned?(备注:本环节让学生通过skimming(略读)把握文章大意,并采用任务型教学,培养学生快速筛选信息的能力。)Step 3 Scanning1 .Have Ss read carefully and answerthe questions .then check the answers in groups. at the same time , have students underline something they dont know.1).What do the talent shows have in common?2).Who decides the winner?3).Why do some people not like these shows?4).Why do some people like these shows?5).What do you think of these shows?(备注:以问题的形式了解文章主旨及细节内容,助于学生全面理解该文章,从文中获取信息。同时让学生画出相关问题的出处。在小组讨论讨论环节中,让学生不但积极的参与,而且能互帮互助,特别是在答案呈现过程中,学生的好胜心,荣誉感会驱使学生不断地探究,从而也突破本节课的重点难点。)2 .Read again and write T or F, this time ,have students work in pairs checking their answers.( ) 1. Talent shows are very popular around the world. ( ) 2.The old cant join the shows.( ) 3.Everyone likes the shows very much.( ) 4.Talent shows are bad.(备注:本环节的设计,主要是让学生对课文进一步了解,掌握文章的细节,而结对活动能让学生彼此交流看法和意见,从而发现自己的问题。本环节由C层学生呈现。)3 Have students close their books, fill in the blanks using the words in 2b. This passage is about_. Now they are getting more and more _.There are _ talent shows .They try to look for the best singer, the most exciting magicians, _ dancers, _ actors and so on. Who decides the _? It_you. Not everybody _ them .But a good thing about them is to help people to make their_ come true.(备注: 本环节是对前面教学一个小测试,也是本课重点词语的呈现。通过这个测试,让每位学生对本篇文章的一个小结,同时让学生有一种成就感。)Step 4 After reading1) Explain the difficult points.
