Lesson plan of Unit1How do you study for a test?(第二课时)一 教材内容分析Parts2a2c of sectionA will be covered in the second period. The activities in the second period give students more listening and oral practice using more target language. They are helpful to improve students listening and speaking skills. Students will do some listening practice in2a and 2b about something done in the English club.They will learn some new words and listen to the students talking about learning English.In the part2c,students will have chances to use the target language to do oral practice.二 教学目标1. Students will be able to identify the key vocabulary and target Language“nunciation” and “What about ?”Have you ever studied with a group?Yes, I have. Ive learned a lot that way.2.Students will be able to understand the target language by listening to the recording.3.Students will be able to talk about the ways of learning English .三教学过程Step 1. lead-in and presentation.(5 minutes)Before class,ask students to decorate their classsroom as an English club in the picture and regards themselves as members of an English club.1.Review the target language “How do you study for a test?I study by”(class work)2.Talk about the best ways to learn English with the students and write down the key sentences “Have you ever studied with a group?” What about reading aloud to practise pronunciation?on the blackboard. (class work)(设计说明;通过布置较真实的场景,给学生创造一种良好的氛围,激发了学生的兴趣,师生之间的对话表演既复习了前面所学的旧知识,又能自然地过渡到今天要学的新知识,教师在自由交谈的过程中引入本课中的生词、重点句型,为下面的听说活动扫清障碍。)Step 2.Listening practice(15 minutes)1.Look at the picture and talk about it.Ask students to look at the picture and say “ What do you think is happening? Who are they?” Guide the students to say.” They are members of an English club that meets after school once a week. They are talking about the ways to learn English.”Point to the list of questions in the box. Get students to read them .(class work)2.Listen and check the answers. (individual work)Ask students to listen to the conversations in 2a twice and check the questions they hear.Then check the answers.Read the instructions and point to the list of questions in activity 2b,then ask students to listen to the recording again and write the letters in the blanks.Then check the answers.3.Listen and repeat. (class work)Ask students to listen again and repeat.This time ask the students to try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of the recording . 4.Read the dialogue in 2a and 2b (pair work)Ask the students to read the dialogue in 2a and 2b in pairs and then ask some pairs to read it out in front of the class.(设计说明:通过谈论图片中的内容,引入听力材料,听力训练过程中,教会学生把握对话大意,善于捕捉关键词句,排除冗余信息的技能。在活动3中的听读训练中学生通过跟读来揣摩句子的重读、弱读、失去爆破等现象,既掌握一些朗读技巧,提高听力水平,还促进对语言的整体感悟力,达到了听读的有机结合。在活动4中我设计的任务是要求两个学生为一小组互相问答,这样的活动既可以培养学生的合作意识,又为下面的口语练习打下铺垫,巩固了本节课的重点,从而突破了难点。)Step 3.Oral practice.(10 minutes)1.Read the dialogue in 2c(class work)Ask the students to read the dialogue fluently and correctly with the right pronunciation.Then have a pair of students to read the sample conversation to the class.2. Make conversations using the information from 2a and 2b .(pair work)First make conversations with the students using the information from 2a and 2b.Then ask students to make conversations with a partner. As students work, move around the classroom listening in on various pairs so as to check progress and help with pronunciation as needed.After students have had a chance to practice several exchanges, ask some pairs to to act out their conversations.3.Make their own conversations in group. (group work)Soppuse they are in the English club now.They are the members of the English club.Ask students to talk about the best ways to learn English in six by using the key sentence pattern.And see which group is the best.(设计说明:本环节的口语训练遵循了由易到难,由简到繁,循序渐进的过程。从机械训练开始,过渡到半机械训练,最后到较真实的情景中达到自由交际。在活动3中设计的活动是六人一小组,然后上台表演,并且评出优胜组,让每个学生都能参与,促进学生学英语的积极性)Step 4. Assesment(6 minutes)Ask some groups to act out their conversations in front of the class.Both the teacher and students will give their comments for each show.At last elect which group is the best and teacher will also give a summary for the whole activity.(设计说明:请学生上台展示他们所编排的对话,让其他学生欣赏并点评。通过对比同学的表演,学生之间彼此找出自己的不足;通过老师的点评,纠错、示范及总结,学生进一步掌握本课的语言知识,提高听说技能。同时在教师指导下,学生互相学习,集思广益,取长补短,促进了竞争意识,培养了合作学习的策略。)Step5.Grammar Focus(3 minutes)Review the grammer box.Ask students to read the questions and answers to the class.Let students pay attention to the key expressions.Write the three sentences containing by doing on the blackboard.Underline the words by listening, by studying and by reading aloud. Say, When you ask how to do something or to tell how you do something, you often use the word “by” followed by an -ing word.Let students say some sentences using by doing. (设计说明:引导学生回顾所学的知识,帮助学生理清重难点,进一步巩固知识。让学生观察句子总结出by doing 句型用法,培养学生的观察能力和归纳能力。)Step 6. Homework(1 mi
