China has the biggest population in the world. 中国是世界人口最多的国家。population意为“人口”时,是一个集合名词。它在句中作主语时,谓语动词通常用单数形式。其常用句型为“The population of +某地+ is + 数词”或“某地+ has a population of + 数词”,表示“某地有多少人口”。如:The population of my city is three million. 当表示人口“多”或“少”时,常用形容词large,big或small修饰population。如:The town has a large / big / small population. 当对人口数量进行提问时,要用疑问词what 或 how large。如: What / How large is the population of your country?2.
